I solo a lot too, and I still manage to make friends on a blue moon. If you want "combat companion NPCs", roll a warden or a sorcerer, or pretend the nightblade shade is your imaginary friend, but this is an MMO first and foremost, and you're going to have to work with real people on the other side of the screen to get the most out of this game.

i solo more than u do...there are other mmos with combat companions...so not everyone shares your narrow mindset...you have yet to explain why this is bad, and youre only resorting to "this is an mmo...make friends or be a warden...no one cares than many other mmos have this...i dont want it in my mmo"
grow up

I can see why you only make friends once in a blue moon. Drop the attitude, he just wants to run around with a companion not have it complete dungeons for him

I don't much appreciate your personal attacks towards me. You've got your answer, you might have picked up the wrong game if you don't enjoy it as it is.

This is called a Sorcerer. It's pretty great; they've been nerfed some, but a Flappy or Clanny friend, or both if you really don't like active bar slots, will take you through most of the content. And with Atronach ultimate, one of several hat/epaulet combos, and a Vvardenfell hunger set, you can have up to 5 friends in your "party" for a while.

I play ESO because of the wonderful mass and scale and pretty good combat system. Now, no game is perfect and the fact that ESO is an MMO is a drawback to me. It is still a good game that I choose as the current home for my elf.
That said, I agree with OP in that I would be happy to see NPC companions. Let me start by saying that actual combat help is not needed, I would simply sometimes like traveling with an NPC companion as company or to complement my character (ie, someone for my healer to heal). A fair question is 'Why not real people as companions instead of NPCs?' Either or both are fine but I would like the option for NPC companions for the following advantages they can offer:
- They stay in character 100% of the time.
- They have zero scheduling requirements. If you want to leave them at a wayshrine while you eat dinner, they don't mind a bit.
- They have about zero potential for 'drama' or misunderstandings or chatting you up to do things you don't really feel like doing.

by ur logic, no one should ever criticize a game they play
