I would like a clarification on the information given in the second post of this thread: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/66587/eso-maintenance-4-3#latest regarding the Extended Early Access until Sunday at 8AM EDT/12PM (noon) GMT. My account says it expires May 4th, not May 6th, as one would expect including the extra days of Early Access. Thank you!
"This will cover those who purchased ESO from an online retailer and won't be getting your box shipped in time"
This is not enough because if it is not delivered by friday it won't be there by sunday. My box need to be delivered to Canada and it was sent only yesterday from France. I may have a first delivery monday to get the paper left on my door, sign it to leave the package at the door and get it by tuesday.
Most online retailers offer release date shipping. I ordered my imperial edition from Amazon on Jan 29. It shipped today, arrives tomorrow, so I'm set.
But I agree, they probably SHOULD have extended early access until Tuesday, since not everyone has Amazon Prime and not everyone gets release day arrival.
@Etchesketch - they are referring to not being given enough time to enter in their Retail Edition Game Code that comes in the box (physically shipped) and is needed to validate the game. It has nothing to do with game time or subscription.
@catastrophix - I am in the same boat. My game may not get here until Monday, the 7th. So I will be locked out of the game on Sunday and Monday because of the oversight in this matter.
Why on earth couldn't the grace period for the Retail registration code be extended to at least Friday, the 11th, to give ample time for paying customers to receive their product and register their game? Launching a game on a Friday and then making the "grace period" not even extend past the weekend is foolish... they do realize that most mail and delivery services are closed on the weekend, right?
Lmao this has to be the stupidest thing I have ever seen!
First If you bought a copy and have a temp code and got early access you still get 30 days free. So why would they kick people, who paid for 30 days, out if they don't input a hard copy code? to me that deadline should be when there 30 days is up.
2nd, a grace period does nothing for the rest of us, if this is there attempt to make up for the down time in EA considering my 30 days has started according to my account.
Man this company has nothing but rocks between the ears when it comes to customer service.
