I see a huge influx of those on PC/EU as well. Lvl 4 guys, character name matches account name, wearing standart gear you get after creating a char, just running in circles and collecting nodes. I reported and screenshotted one the other day, and saw him on the next day, with the same gear and level. No way those are actual players.

If you haven't already make sure to report them in game, you can always post the ticket report numbers here in hopes they get seen and escalated.

I did, and all I got was an automated response telling me to block that person.
I'm not sure those reports are actually taken seriously.

They say the reports are taken seriously, but people have to report them, and enough to get noticed, before action is taken. It might take days or weeks. That is why I say "move along".

let's be honest here, nobody in ZOS cares one bit about bots. not one bit. i tried to be a responsible citizen of Tamriel and used to report bots when and where i met them. until (about 6 months ago) i started to lvl up my stamSorc running dolmens in Alik'r and i met this fellow -

    https://youtube.com/watch?v=MwB8R_rSvU8

he/she (i believe it was a girl/woman, as it was a girl's user name, not character's name) was just spamming heals through that rock at Myrkwasa dolmen and moving back and forth a bit to avoid the AOE damage that happens when you stand in one place for too long. i reported it, as a responsible citizen of Tamriel that i was. and then i met that bot again and again and again. for weeks (i wasn't levelling my stamSorc all the time, i had another characters to play with, so i did only a couple of dolmens every day) i was reporting it. and there it was, every day on the same spot. i spoke to other players at that dolmen and they did report it too. i even had my fellow guild mates from 2 guilds (that i am no longer a member of, one of them doesn't even exist any more) visiting the dolmen and reporting it (all in all around 60 players have reported it for several days in a row). and guess what has happened? exactly nothing. i watched that bot level up from lvl 30 to CP 400+ just by spamming heals through a rock. through a rock! days and weeks of reporting by many players did nothing..

worst thing is that i remember that name (it is a unique name in a language i speak) and i met that botter about a month ago at the Undaunted enclave in Grahtwood. he/she is now CP750. so yeah, report it, sure..

The hide farming bot trains get all the attention because they're easier to spot, but node farming bots are far more dangerous as they tank prices on all the mats. They ruined the entire PC/EU economy last summer: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/356366/unlimited-aetherial-dust/p1

Well, people report them all the time, but even the most obvious hide farming bots do not get banned even after several reports from multiple people.
I would be really happy to be wrong, but from my own experience, they dont really care about botting and cheating and the only exploit that was heavily punished was that vAS hm exploit.

There is no incentive to spend your hobby time, documenting and sending this info to ZOS especially since there is no transparency from ZOS to say if they ever address your issue.

It is illogical that players buy the game and police it for the gaming company but that is the ZOS way sadly.

Don't bother reporting them. Seriously, ZOS doesn't do crap. They are always at the same places day after day after day. All they have to do is log into the game even once a week to the obvious areas where folks have been reporting for years now and do some ban waves and it would help. They don't.

The bots just keep rolling every single day. They do not even attempt to enforce this.

I'm just saying what they said. I stopped reporting bots for months. I think I reported 4 last week, but most of the time, I add them to the reasons not to give them money.

I guess the lesson is "If you can't beat them, join them". ZOS should should sell Bots in the Crown store.

so fucken what, just get some of your own and join in on the action, than you will have time to do the fun things like playing vs farming

Eh, so getting unfair advantage and destroying the economy is "so what" now?
This kind of attitude is why we can't have the nice things.

And no, its not a good thing for you (unless you sell that crap for real money). Prices for gold tempers might drop (it already kinda happened), but selling mats is one of the easiest and the most accessible ways to farm gold, you can pick them while questing or just running from point A to point B. Normally, a casual player can just decon and loot stuff and earn gold for housing, BoE gear and other nice things, but if those mats are worth nothing, then you wont earn anything from just playing the game. So you'll be forced to either spend your playtime on additional farming, or to buy gold.
Cheap golden armor is not going to outweight that, it barely adds a few extra % dps. The difference between "purple gear + golden weapon" and "full golden set" is very small, especially if you're a casual player, dont care about perfect rotations and dont play in a perfectly optimized group. Sure, its nice to have, but it will not make or break your build.

Also, there is this "slippery slope" problem. If everything is allowed, can I just hack into your account and take your things or use that account for botting (that's actually one of the ways to acquire cheap accounts for that)? Or can I ruin your pvp evening by hacking and killing your char repeatedly and modifying your stats (cheaters in Dark Souls and some other games do that, for example)?
Hacking and cheating ruins online games. If you like it, do it in single-player games, where your actions do not affect other people.

Like the others have said, report them if you want but don’t hold your breath on anything getting done. I used to spend time reporting as well with no visible results just as the others. I don’t bother wasting my free time anymore when it doesn’t seem to do anything.

The real problem is the people who buy from them. As long as they keep making money, it’s going to keep happening. You can thank the current generation cash shop / gambling box love mentality as to why it never goes away. Too many lazy people would rather buy their way in instead of earning it.
"And it's important to state that our decision to go with subscriptions is not a referendum on online game revenue models. F2P, B2P, etc. are valid, proven business models - but subscription is the one that fits ESO the best, given our commitment to freedom of gameplay, quality and long-term content delivery. Plus, players will appreciate not having to worry about being "monetized" in the middle of playing the game, which is definitely a problem that is cropping up more and more in online gaming these days. The fact that the word "monetized" exists points to the heart of the issue for us: We don't want the player to worry about which parts of the game to pay for - with our system, they get it all."

There are people that knowingly buy and not so much knowingly buy from them. But I've seen on xbox na that they buy guild trader spots and just list the materials there as well... I call it out in zone chats that botters bought a spot so other guild traders buy it from under the botters next weekend. Deeshan's outlaw refuge on xbox na has this reputation that those bot farmers keep buying it up...

Mainly because it is against the TOS, and if ZOS is banning for this, I don't want to lose my account. Now, if ZOS says it is OK, I'll have bots in the game by the end of the week. I love automation and would have tons of fun just setting it up and perfecting it. I'd probably have to write my own bot software, though. The omes out there being used with ESO are pretty stupid.
