You guys are the BEST! Bringing down the server at this time, where most of the people just had a chance to get in is the most *** thing to do! Server maintenance just every day of the headstart. A headstart that is none...cool - I surely regret buying this game. A really angry player.

Seriously. If you have ever played an MMO at launch then you would know this is pretty common...

You can't catch every little thing before the game goes live, so when you find it you fix it.

Thing is, 99% of the bugs now, were there all the way back in the last 3 betas I've played. And I didn't play the last two or three recent ones. Those should have been fixed because launch. This downtime to prep for launch right now is stupid.

There taking down the servers to get ready for launch of the game getting in last minute fixes and making sure the servers are ready to handle the capacity, nothing new.
Well guess this is a good time to play Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls while I wait.

I corrected your example with timestamps. It shows the picture better this way.

Is it any good? I am so afraid to spend any cash on it because the original sucked so badly...

Yes, makes me think that the surveys and the work we did in beta was just deleted and never read... other then changing things that have no bearing on server down time.

This not really a good time for a maintenance. It's 20:00 CET and it's primetime in Europe. We paid more money for this Early Access.

I will play dungeons and dragons online in the meantime. Who comes with me?

So much for early access guys! Not only do I get disconnected several times from the game while playing it, but to have the servers down during early access , really? Wonder how we are going to get compensated for buying the early release and not be able to play the game

I played the betas and PTS for months. There are some things they should have fixed and have not yet done so.

But I feel that your 99% is quite an exaggeration. They fixed a lot of stuff and playability from the betas.

The real perks of early purchase was the mount, Explorer pack, and Imperial race. Our early access was in reality the last beta and anyone expecting to get five (or 3) days of 24 hour uptime from a new launch was naïve, in my opinion.

Don't you think they should have a test environment to fix things and then test the fixes... then push it to live so the downtime can be minimized? Yesterday the US server was down for almost 15 hours, the day before that almost 2 hours and today 3-4 hours (maybe)...

You honestly don't think that is a little much for the customers to just sit back and be cool about it? I manage some servers in the real world and I would be looking for a new job after the past couple of days. I am not asking for anyone's head, but let's not jump all over people that are using the correct outlet to vent their frustrations... So stop trolling people and let them vent.

Because the first time Blizzard didn't do months of open they launched a game that didn't work for a full month and then ran on dilapidated hardware that couldn't handle any load. Oh wait, they did do an open beta. What was your point again?

Unless you meant D3, which also had an open beta, and launched flawlessly... or wait, no it didn't. Yeah not seeing your point.

Well, during this down time the cash shop will be put in place so you can buy your Palomino horse if you so desire... upgrade to Imperial to get the mount, etc. but to be honest the main reason anyone gets a pre-order for an MMO is to get a head start and get out of the starter zone before the masses appear.

The best thing to do is just wait and sit it out, people. I understand all of your frustrations about not being able to play and maybe taking the servers down during primetime for EU is something that should be looked at.

But, let's be realistic, Eccentric said it more concise than I could word it myself. The game has flaws and these flaws have to be fixed, in order to push these fixes through, you'll be looking at server downtime.

Pushing in ''a few fixes'' is not a matter of dragging and dropping some updated files, they're dealing with some high-quality and high-priced equipment here and need to make sure that every bit of it is in working order again before resuming activities on the servers.

Needless to say, I was disappointed too to find myself unable to play when I got home from work but I'll gladly wait if it means the game will be more stable and overall more enjoyable to play after the issues have been resolved.

    Greetings,
    Beucko

And the mudcrab! I prefer that to a scuttler, but wasn't willing to fork out extra cash. Still tempted, though ;)
If at first you don't succeed, keep trying. And again. Eat a cookie, read a wiki, I dunno, just try to relax, the frustration will only give you a headache.

I hardly encountered any problems after last night's patch, just a couple disconnects in 2 hours. It's really frustrating when the servers go offline when you finally have time to play after a long day at work.

I agree they should improve where they can but I kind of feel screwed over with the early access advertisement, if you promise something you have to deliver. If you can't deliver you shouldn't promise something or compensate the early access players.

When the game works like it should it's really nice to play so I have good hope for the future!
