Thanks for atleast some sort of the info.Sad part that players have to do and dig it instead company representatives who get paychecks for that.

For my experience worst maintenance I saw till now in any game.
I bought not so long Morrowind+Summerset, but this maintenance makes me wonder, how you can play game when you lose two days in week, account maintenance loging server down, eu megaserver maintenance everything down, and this hilarious we start maintenance at .... where is TO???

Every maintenance IMHO need to have FROM ... TO. So where is TO?????

I think he has his orders. I never saw the CMs post in areas they are not assigned to. Strictly speaking, the English forum is none of his business. That’s my guess at least.

in the german forum ZOS_KaiSchober has written that is a maintenance for the eso data center in Frankfurt/M.

Guys guys. Its maintenance.... I'm sure the patch notes will turn up. Put the guars down! Everything is okay. Hand the guar to me and we can all walk out of here together, in a few hours. Why is it only the EU server? Maybe because it seems like EU gets less attention and needs a actual patch to fix a problem idk? Maybe its going to be a patch for Ryzen?(* fingers crossed)

Maybe its for flickering textures.. OR .. Or or maybe that Hews Bane Guard will finally get to relax his stomach muscles?

I think I figured out why it's taking so long. We don't generally have A/C in Germany (shops, offices etc. do sometimes) so I'm thinking the folk at the data centre are taking their sweet time to avoid having the leave the A/C as it's 35c outside.

You haven't seen anything then. LoTRO EU servers were down for pretty much an entire week once, when they physically moved them to America.

Its not anger towards the downtime. Its anger towards 4 years of misinformation, or simply no information at all. I do remeber the missing rewardbox issue last year. Fun fact: we are still waiting for the fix on that one, but ZoS decided to let the topic die out, wich is a really poor way to treat paying players.

Maybe because in 2018 people are used to the notion that outside of some huge failure, a major upgrade, etc that online services don't need to be taken down for maintenance, so question why a game is still living in the year 2000?

I mean there are even other games that don't go down for maintenance, GW2 for example, that game has had actual downtime maybe 5 or 6 times in 6 years (Data centre failed, a couple of major upgrades, once back when they were one of the games being targeted by massive DDOS attacks, etc), yet in 2018 you still have ESO (and others) using a woefully out of date model.

Can you imagine Github or something telling paying customers, sorry we take the site down every week for at least 4 hours (often more, sometimes twice in a week), its laughable.

Then even if you ignore all that, it is simply lack of information in regard to estimates of downtime.

Again,It is not because of the downtime,I don’t mind if it is 3 days,But I want to know,with my limited gaming time,ESTIMATED TIME how long it lasts so I can do other *** whit my spare time.

I'd rather have them solve whatever problems they are facing now, even if they keep the servers down for slightly longer, than have the servers fail in the middle of the Midyear Mayhem event, like they did during the Jubilee one 3 months ago. At least the former is predictable, you can make your schedule around it.
