Try those sets with any other character and you will perform better. No house needed for that :d

I play 5 different classes and do dueling/BGs/cyrodiil on all of them and main magplar. Buffs would always be nice (burst isn't great, so it's difficult to 1v1 shield stackers) but it's a strong well-rounded class that plays well in a variety of environments.
Please stop all this depressing doom-and-gloom nonsense.

Strong?!?
So compared to other classes/specs where would you rate magplar?

1v1? They're on the low end, not everybody gets to be top dog. But the game is balanced pretty well between the classes to the point where skill and game knowledge is almost always the deciding factor. All of the "Game so unbalanced, magplar is unplayable" QQ is super exaggerated.

Its not that they are unplayable its just like the OP said if you take the same sets and use them on other classes you will perform better.
I just cannot play my Magplar. House devolepment is just poo.

I was mostly addressing that specific person, he literally made a post today where he calls magplar unplayable.I just cannot play my Magplar. House devolepment is just poo.
Keyword is "attempt, not sure who is easier to kill magplar or magden, both turn in quests rack up faster than any other.TheDoomsdayMonster wrote: »TheDoomsdayMonster wrote: »
How would you build your house in endgame pvp, wvw or in pve?
My house is built with 3 Defensive Sets to make myself very difficult to kill (stacking HoT's [one of which applies a ground based AoE snare], Damage Shields, Major Evasion, and High Resists all rolled up into one)...
And once an opponent is in my house, I will attempt to win the "Resource Battle" against him until I think he's vulnerable to be burst down by a combo of:
1) Purifying Light...
2) Invigorating Drain/Cancel...
3) Soul Assault...
replace mist form with race against time on your back bar and thank me later!
ok..firstly you are much, much faster with race against time ( try it and tell me I'm wrong)
it has saved my ass more times than mist form ever has (mist just delays the inevitable most the time). I use race - clense and I'm gone running like the wind to my line of site while still recovering magika, and allowing me to heal or use other skills which you cannot do with mist. it also allows for much greater mobility around the battle field wether that be open world or BG as it also reduced cost of sprint by 50%. I always used to use mist form but would not got back now. race against time has been a great addition to my magplar that it desperately needed.

i want to believe this - but i just don't see how it could possibly be better. Not only do you have the advantages of reduced dmg while in mist form, the same expedition speed achieved in mist for as in race ability, but finally - you are able to break roots/snares with mist form and race does not offer that.
please enlighten me on how this could possibly be better?
