As Murkmire will come could there be a possibility of a new class and if so what do you think?

  • Locationwise I'd think shaman or witchdoctor would fit nice :hushed:
  • I could also think about a beasttamer class or something like that
  • Would love to see a bard class but i think that be better if they add solitude as a location  because of the bard college

Something like a new class or skill lines usually come with the larger Chapter updates, not a regular DLC like Murkmire

Also, those first 2 options? Sounds like a Warden to me :p

I would like to see a Beggar class who's ultimate is getting 10% off everyone's pockets in 28 meters. Becayse all the beggars.

    Really?

Or maybe add more weopon skill lines.

Different skill lines for every magic school.

Maybe revamp the whole class/skill system.

I personally think that classes in the future will be coming as a stand alone thing from now on...meaning that there might just be an announcement that is not related to a dlc or chapter introducing us to a new class...

....Meaning they can sell it by itself without anything else. Would be business smart. Plus if you don't want to play the class, you have an option to play/buy it or not.

The warden was added/changed to collectables ...might be a hint. :)

I highly doubt any class would be included in any DLC outside of a Chapter.

Assuming the development team are keeping a rotation, next chapter will be somewhere within the Daggerfall Covenant. If the location is within Hammerfell, it could be Necromancer or Dwemer related; not sure about when or if they'll add a new class or not.

I agree with everyone who said that a DLC will not include a new class. I would not expect a new class, or even a guild skill line (aka Psijic) until the 2019 Chapter. Yes, I do expect them to bundle any new classes with a Chapter purchase. If they break it out, like they did with Morrowind, they will do it like they did Morrowind.

I don't think that the development team is keeping up a rotation. Two Chapters does not make a confirmed pattern.

You mean fourth. But yes, "Conjuration" would perfectly fit into Sorcerer as fourth skillline.

    I'm sure as f* (how sure can a f* be? /philosoraptor.jpeg) it'll be a new weapon type, 1H + Rune.

Or hell, even Unarmed/Hand-to-Hand... Those latest fixes are too suspicious.
I mean, why the heck even bother to give a proper animation to unarmed Imbue Weapon and nerf its HA range to 7 meters like every other weapon type?

Btw, pretty sure whatever it'll be, it'll come with the new chapter next year.

I think... that I hope they will never ever add a new class.

I was vexed enough with Warden, having to make another bunch of alts to testdrive that class, and even moreso because I had two characters I made with an "nature" background that would have been much better as wardens, but since warden was not a thing back when I made those, I had to redo the character concept as wardens and leave the old ones in backstory limbo... it felt like a betrayel of ZOS messing with my character enjoyment.

So, I hope they will never again do that to me, and refrain from adding more -classes-.

Now... if they were to add new stuff like they did with Summerset and the Psijic stuff, as guild-sized skill line... hell, yeah, I'd buy those in a heartbeat! Even the ones that come as DLC I already have ESO+ access to - I believe in putting my money where my mouth is, and supporting a game I like!

And if anything class-wise, I would like to see them add "Specialization" options to the existing classses, stuff that can be taken up by ANY character, no matter if newly made or played since launch, that way -everyone- can enjoy new stuff. Which is why I keep tossing around my suggestions in that direction: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/369966/class-morph-idea-mk-ii

And otherwise I hope they will add only stuff that anyone and everyone can benefit from, no matter if they just started playing and are on their first character, or if they have been juggling a dozend alts or more since launch, and are not too keen on playing through all the content they already have seen a dozend times and more yet again just because a new class was added...
...so, instead I hope for seeing new skill lines of all kinds instead!
(and doubly so if they added some "either-or" choices; like some new "lawful" guilds that would not allow people join if they were already thieves or assassins, or some cult that would not take on Psijics; or specializations that depend on your main class, or something that forces people to -choose- in some way... thus forcing characters to become more diverse instead of giving them the option to do it all...)
    DarkScatha wrote: »

Definitely! But I would say that, would I not? https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/371862/additional-weapon-skill-ideas-mk-ii ;)
    DarkScatha wrote: »

    Not gonna happen.
Anyone who'd suggest such a large investment in development resources for no additional profit on ESO to the suits in charge at ZOS would get fired. So, all we can hope for is them finetuning details, and adding stuff (as DLC, for extra charge). And pray the next online game they make will have all the game system improivements we wish ESO would have. FallOut Online in 2026, anyone? ;)

Except "Conjuration" is already in use, sort of. What did you think those daedric summonings would be classified under the school of magic system after all? ;)
Not that ESO classes really use that system as such...

Still, I obviously love the idea of fourth class skill lines as "specializations" (see above), and would love to see such options as I mention in my class morph idea to become available for player characters in some future expansion... but as I outlined there, at least three options per class to specialize in, so that we get added character diversity through more choices!

Well... that is not -entirely- true, but rather likely for this case.
I mean, they -could- make additional "guild" DLCs, like Thieves Guild or Dark Brotherhood - and like... https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/387560/additional-guild-ideas-mk-ii ;)

...though if they did that, one would expect them to brand them as such, yes? After all, it is the "Thieves Guild" DLC, not the "Hew's Bane" DLC... thus a "Murkmire" DLC will likely just be questings in that region, much like the "Clockwork City" DLC. So we can expect a new map, new quests, new dwelves and world bosses, maaaybe a new trial or public dungeon... about that sort of thing.

    No.

The Warden was a fluke, it was more or less planned and complete back before the game even Launched, but was cut because they felt it was just a copy of the Templar. They have no plans on introducing entirely new Classes.

Of course you can raise the dead, create flesh-atronachs and so on.
But then there is also the path of create Disease and Decay..
Or maybe a chance for an actually ice/frost DPS spec?

Actually, in the elder scrolls universe, there is not anything more to necromancy then that.

Here, necromancy IS -only- the magic dealing with death and undeath.
Here, necromancy IS -only- a specialization of the conjuration school.

Disease is more something for Peryte cultists, decay belongs to Namira, and we have Ice/frost with the destro staff and wardens already...

And whenever you find someone talking too much about what "else" necromancers should play with besides necromancy, you know they have their notion of what necromancers are from some different universe... ;)

But the skills are already in the game..

    Ghost Calling
    Soul Manipulation
    Undead Summoning

Those should be the 3 skill lines something along those lines. Ghost Calling would be like the new skills from the Fang Lair Dungeon along with the Phantom Hand that roots you.

Undead summoning could summon those skeleton creatures like the 2nd Boss in Fang Lair that explode on contact. They don't have to be permanent pets.

Plenty of necromancer abilities to fill those 3 skill lines from NPC's already in the game.

The Soul Syphon beam a lot of necromancers use to drain your life and buff their pets would be an awesome skill to have imo. It could dps and heal yourself as a channeled ability.

Yes u'r right. But that would be illogical.
    - 2015 They started with Orsinium the only big zone DLC.
    - 2017 New big zone Vvardenfell Chapter.
    - 2018 New big zone Summerset Chapter, 2017 big zone now DLC
    - 2018 Other big zone for a DLC?

Illogical, or I just very confused from many business model changes.

@TheShadowScout I feel like I see you on every thread about a new class haha.

@DarkScatha At this point, I think fleshing out existing classes with new skill lines, introducing a spell crafting system, or adding completely new guild/world skill lines would be the best option.
