I’m looking for in depth constructive feedback on how to improve quest design, dungeon design, pvp, performance issues , getting rid of most of the bugs before a dlc releases, combat, enemy ai, and crafting

Fix it. All the connectivity issues and other bugs have been posted here hundreds of times.

I'd have them skip a content update and just spend the time and resources to fix the game at a fundamental level.
There's no reason bar swapping should be delayed or abilities not firing off when pressed.
I said in another post, there's no reason a game with a 10 year life cycle should be in this state after only 4 years.

    Fix.
    The.
    Lag.

    1. Take a full year to focus on performance. No content production.

This is among the most crucial that could ever be done, bugfixing existing content, improving server infastructure. It's desperately needed.

    2. During that one year period, do two things: Do away with the idea of balance. Make the game fun to play, de-prioritize PVP and hardcore audiences.

    Self explanitory.

    3. In order to compensate for the hardcore audience not being catered to expressly anymore, create more difficulty tiers, proper tiers, not this hardmode nonsense, institute proper, difficulty tiers, a new elite, and mythic tier if you will, and balance all accordingly.

That's what I'd perscribe for this game. A different balance direction, a year of refining core systems, and a re-orderment of difficulty.

yes ive made that suggestion before, skip one content update in exchange for having a 3rd party come in to fix the lag (that they cant) on their servers. i think everyone would totally respect them for doing it

The best way to improve the game is not to read the forums. You'll be amazed how much better the game is if you haven't bathed in other people's negativity  !

ZoS has been doing this for 4 years, negative or constructive criticisms.

Perhaps it's actually time they do read the forums.

    1. No content...

    2. Do away with the idea of balance.

    3. create more difficulty tiers, proper tiers, not this hardmode nonsense, institute proper, difficulty tiers, a new elite, and mythic tier if you will, and balance all accordingly.

so do away with balance, but also balance a bunch of new concepts in a "proper" way?
oh, and also maintain a profitable playerbase in the absence of new content.

so, i assume you're taking the helm by funding this year-or-so of increased labor with necessarily diminished profitability out of your own pocket, right doctorDS?

Two things that would make my gaming experience a little more enjoyable.

    1. Sload - Get rid of it. Don't nerf it, don't tweak it, just make it go away.
    2. BOP items - Make everything BOE

its always nice to get new players into the game, and for that reason i see why zos is always making new content designed to bring players in. But at this stage now i think we need some retention. Many players like myself are experienced and are requiring better performance, balance and quality of life fixes.

In a game where the floor and ceiling nearly meet. they need to make the most of that space for actual competitive pvp.

Here is one to help with balance.

Make every set follow these principles ...

    - if there is a magic/stam bonus it’s +1000 exactly
    - if there is a power bonus it’s +100 exactly
    - if there are any other bonuses like regen or an AOE effect have them universally be equal as well
    - make all procs triggered ONLY by an offensive attack of any kind or a defensive move like dodge roll or block.
    - have all procs that do instant single target damage do the same damage
    - have all procs that do AOE damage do the same damage

If all proc sets followed these rules it would erase much of what’s considered best in slot and simply be up to the user to enjoy whatever animation they like best. Once that’s done there would still be plenty of variance (maybe you like Necropotence but I prefer Spinners or Julianos) but the field would be balanced.

Make it subscription only, get rid of the social aspect and get rid of both PvE and PvP.

Basically make it a farming simulator.

Add consumeables as server wide unlocks so people don't accidentally use them on alts, especially expensive ones

The 2 changes I would make to PVP would be as follows.

    1. Strip everyone of their current gear and issue them standard issue battle gear when they enter cyro or BGs. (class specific oc) No more chasing the meta or the latest cancer sets. You as a (insert class here) get the same armor and weapons as someone else in that class. That would make PVP dependent on your Skills and Skillz, not the flavor of the month for gear.
    2. Let us siege everything to include bridges and gates. If I can knock down a keep or castle wall I should be able to destroy a wooden barn some zerg has decided to turtle in. It also helps spread out the combat lines a bit. If the bridge you need to cross is down you either have to repair it or move down stream to the next one and come back up for your objective.

    balance all accordingly

these are mutually exclusive... if you do away with the idea of balance how then can you balance accordingly?

There, fixed it for you. What most of you picture as "better vision of gameplay" ain't nothin' I or, I am sure, many others, want anything to do with.

Now they allow for two-handed weapons to count twice toward a set (that was my biggest gripe) - my only other significant complaint in regards to PvE would be to allow for a greater challenge in landscape content. It's a bit too easy for high level players. I'd also like to see a companion system introduced where players could enlist the help of NPCs to aid them while questing (like in SWTOR or Final Fantasy 11). This would make solo play more interesting, make the characters more interactive - and help newer players deal with an increase in challenge should that come to pass.

In regards to PvP - they need to introduce some kind of system that equalizes combat between players so it's not just a numbers game. Cyrodil has a lot of untapped potential. Being slaughtered by superior numbers may be realistic - but it's not exactly fun either.

We had companions in Skyrim like the infamous Lydia.

If they don't produce content, do you really believe they'll have a player base (outside myself....)? I don't. The major thing MMO players expect these days is MOAR. They can't stop producing content - if they do, they won't HAVE a player base. So, that's a non-starter.

So far, I haven't had any gripes with quest design. My inability to complete the MQ incrementals has to do with my lag (which is because my only option for connect is satellite), not the design of the quests. So I just get a couple of levels, get better gear, and eventually I get through stuff (man that Ancient Clannfear is a ROYAL pita.... It's almost impossible to - with my lag - get out of the red zone....) In fact, I find the quests engaging and very well produced so far. Um. I reply only with regards to PVE, btw.

Seriously, if ZOS/Beth stop content for a year.... there won't be a game to play.

Now, here's what I would find viable. More servers - IN the US, not.... "elsewhere" (um.... Elseweyr.... oy.... ) The issue with only megaservers is that connection is never optimal. In all the years I played WoW and RIFT (2006 -2016) I never had the connectivity issues I have here - because those games had servers (many servers....) IN the US and EU and AU. I played on not only US servers in both games, but EU and AU servers in WoW. Yes, I had lag. No, it wasn't a major issue.

ZOS needs to set up local servers in the US....

    1) Make jewelry crafting use the same system for upgrades etc as all other professions.

    2) Have a global auction house.
