Can someone please tell me if my stats and setup are sufficient for tanking?

Yeah man looks fine. Maybe a tad more hp for some of the dlc vets but your numbers are entirely adequate.

I usually consider a good bench mark to be 20k mag, 20k stam 38k hp and resist cap with BS procced, and adjust from there depending on class and content (vet trials and dungeons hm etc.

Everything looks fine for the most part.

Would say that you might be better off swapping the Physical resist enchants on jewelry to block cost reduction and/or magicka regen so you can block more/spam more Igneous shields, chains, and talons.

Also if you are new to tanking you might remove some points from your stamina attributes to put into health. 27k is fine for most dungeons, but meeting 30k can save you from a lot of mechanical deaths if you don't know how to deal with them yet.

If you remove points from your stamina to put into health, just make sure your stamina is slightly higher than your magicka pool so you get stamina back from Orbs/Shards. You do not need as high of a stamina pool though since with block cost reduction you won't use much stamina.

On a side note, you might choose a different set than Bloodspawn. The resistance cap is at 32k. If your buffed armor/spell resist is above 27k then the 5k resist proc is wasted stats. The stamina regen from the 1 piece is useless when blocking, so that only leaves the ultimate generation.

In my opinion, another set like Lord Warden, Earthgore, Sentinel of Rkugamz, Troll King, or even 1 piece Shadowrend and 1 piece Chokethorn for more regen will offer more group utility. You could also try Mighty Chudan or Swarm Mothers, but all they do is open a bar slot where you don't have to slot Hardened Armor/Balance or Chains.

Engine Guardian might be considered, but I do not think it is worth using. If you can sustain the spam of igneous Shield enough to have a high proc rate, having the magicka regen to make use of it semi-defeats the purpose of it, then the only thing worth while out of is the 1/3 chance for stamina, if you even need that which you shouldn't with a semi-decent healer.

Curious about the Torugs. I run Hist on mine. I am of two minds on Ebon, the groups like it.

OK, you can tank in anything that gets you near the Resist Cap, so what gear you use does not really matter. My suggestion is to get some less stamina and get more health. You dont have to Perma Block and a Tripot should almost top you off (unless this is something unique to my Imp DK Tank). Anyway, my tank is 50K Health, 18K Mag and Stam. But I probably dont need all that health, then again I rarely die. I could use some more Magick Recovery, but that is just me.

So it comes down to Rotation and Timings. For one, the hardest part of being a tank is slowing your roll. Yes, sometimes you just stand there doing nothing. The key is, apply your buffs, debuffs, shields and taunts only as needed and not before. And you do fully charged Heavy Attacks to get most of your resource recovery.

You also did not tell us your Champ loadout, that can be an issue. Woeler has a Tank site with good tips and rotations for the role. Look at his CP reccomendations. You will have to google, on my phone and cant link it.

I’d get health to 35k min. I do around that with 20k both resources. Also Stam slightly higher than mag

This will explain why you shouldn't use Torug's. Best thing to do instead is using Alkosh, which is extremely easy set to get from normal Maw of Lorkhaj. You can find a group easily by asking in a crowded Zone Chat or by joining a guild. Alkosh is an extremely powerful tanking set that will boost your groups damage by a ton, especially in trash fights.

Another slight problem is your Monster Set. Blood Spawn is a very traditional tanking set, it's good. But it doesn't help your group as much as other Monster Sets. For example, Thurvokun is simply the best Monster Set for trash fights. The Minor Maim that applies to every enemy in the huge AOE is the best defensive move you can do for your group. Followed by Lord Warden.

Your traits and enchants are good except jewelry. Make sure to research Triune jewelry and transmute your jewelry as soon as you can. More stats = better. Use Shield-Play enchants on your jewelry. Blocking is the highest mitigation in this game. More blocking means tankier character.

Your stat distribution is a bit meh as well. The important thing is, your skills don't scale with Max Magicka and/or Max Stamina. As a Tank, you have a lot of Max Health bonuses. So investing in Health makes them scale better while the Max Stamina and Max Magicka bonuses scale poorly. For my tanks I shoot for 40K HP and 20K Mag/Stam, with slightly more stam as mentioned. dial those back relatively based on what you can achieve. i wouldn't be comfortable with less than 37k.

Getting "wrecked" is usually a symptom of not knowing the fights; or at least not knowing them from a tanking perspective. Tanking is a resource management mini-game that you adjust on a case by case basis based on what you need to do per fight. Some fights you need to be doing a ton of blocking, other fights you need to block less and save that stam to do things like dodge roll, or charge.

Overall your stats are fine perhaps adjusted for more HP. I hate to say it because you prob spent money on the kutas but pris defense enchants on small pieces are kinda not worth while when you can get more health. You should be synergizing shards and orbs to get stam back, popping tri pots frequently, and in general being acutely aware of your resource use.

You could run a weakening enchant on back bar instead of two crushing, but the way your set up will keep it up more. Once you have some fights down to a yawn though, you can keep them both rolling pretty good.

But again if you're getting wrecked its probably less stats, more familiarity. And no that's not a "git gud" remark, this game is unforgiving if you dont know some mechanics.

Torug's doesn't increase your Crusher uptime, only the penetration value, by around 700. With current cp cap, it's easier to fill that with Spell Erosion or piercing, than wasting 5 piece bonus for that. If your group doesn't have any synergies, what happens very rarely, it's still better to use Powerful Assault than Torug's. Sadly, but this set as a tanking set is close to being useless.
Alkosh provides MASSIVE debuff - 3k resistances are taken away from your target, it is AoE, what is monstrous and 60%+ uptimes are easy to get even in dungeons. It's a clear winner, and every tank should have this set ready.

Wow, thank you all for the replies. It's been very helpful, I don't even know where I could start. The one problem I have is that I don't have ESO Plus, so I cannot obtain the Alkosh set. I'm pretty disappointed to read that Torug's is useless, since I had researched (at least I thought so) a lot and was pretty sure that it was a good set. So, I've turned some of it to gold. I'll definitely re-adjust my attributes to give myself more health, and I'll probably use shadowrend and chokethorn for monster pieces. I guess I'll continue using torugs for the time being, or maybe I'll switch to Plague Doctor? Anyways, there's a lot to think about. Thanks everyone.
