A free pet for compensation?
I can just see it now.
Will cost ZoS $200 to pay some devs their wages to produce another cuddle panda and that's gonna be their way to compensate millions of customers who have lost their early access.
For me game time will be the only acceptable form of compensation, that's cold hard cash for ZoS.

I hate vanity pets bc they have no purpose. I want a pet that loots items or does somethings but not as comp. I wanna earn it; Zenni owes me nothing.2

I hope we never see utility pets/battle pets...that's a slippery slope that ends in uber versions of the pets being sold in a cash shop.

We were given 5 or 3 days early access(depending on your order), not 120 or 72 hours of playtime. You should also read the Terms you accepted: http://www.zenimax.com/legal_terms_us3 -
"We want you to know that everyone who was part of Early Access will be granted an extended grace period until Sunday at 8AM EDT/12PM GMT before being required to transition your account to live. This will cover those who purchased ESO from an online retailer and won't be getting your box shipped in time and also gives anyone who purchased digitally more Early Access time."

Thank you Zenimax for selling me a "product" that I cannot use. Thank you for your support of working people who cannot play the whole day but only 2-3 hours a day on specific time. I give a sh... on your pets and your extended time period which I cannot use. I do not care about money, but I care about service. Deliver and I am satisified. Deliver not and I will quit.

Ignorance at it's worst. Your post is how sheep think. We are customers, period, and nothing is free. There is no free "headstart", everyone who is in the head start paid for it. If you don't understand this then you will forever been taken advantage of by companies who prey on those ignorant of the way the world really works.
Yesterday I was critical of the people complaining about down time. Today I can fully understand the frustration. The way Zenimax is handling this down time is beginning to be a disturbing harbinger of things to come.
Todays downtime is a perfect example. Completely unannounced and the best they can do to tell us when the servers will be back up is to "check back soon" along with what must be a complete lie telling us that it is "to prepare for launch" as if we should just behave like complacent sheep and accept it.
If you are preparing for launch you would know ahead of time you were going to do so and you should have announced it a long time ago AND added additional days to the pre-order and imperial head start (which we all know was a rip off now) instead of stating it after the servers had already been down for hours! A 5 day head start with 1 full day of downtime is, let's do the math, a 4 day head start.
Zenimax you are going to start losing the trust of your customers very fast if you don't do a better job of being 1) honest about your outages, 2) more informative of time estimates and 3) planning downtime better so that WE aren't wasting our time wondering if the server will be up in 10 minutes or 10 hours. Respect your customers, please.
Oh and a "grace period" is NOT a benefit (those of you that think it is in some way). It's standard operating procedure for any MMO launch where there were pre-orders. Don't be taken in by it as some kind of cookie to make up for the failure of the head start itself.

I pre ordered i played during some of the early access, and i am not complaining one bit.. i purchased the game to play at launch, it was just a nice bonus that I was able to get to play a bit early... Still even though servers were down part of he time I do not care, as i will state again i did not buy the game to play early i bought the game to play at launch and beyond...0 -

the product can still be used, you purchased a game that does not launch until the 4th of april, you did not purchase a game so you can have early access, if you only purchased the game for early access, why would you pay $60 or more to just play for 3-5 days I am confused.

early access was given to you FREE you paid NOTHING for it..
Not seeing how you wasted money when you would have paid the same amount to not have early access, all you did was purchase the game earlier than the 4th of april...
Even people complain about free things.. and yes again the early access was FREE you did not pay extra to play 3-5 days early
