I think we all know just how big of a mess Cyrodiil has been since Summerset (and even long before that) and because of this I have decided to start doing some BGs. I will be completely honest... I have really enjoyed the BGs. BG queues are really really fast, the longest I had to wait was maybe 2 minutes. The action is fast and there is no sitting around waiting for something to happen or having to ride your mount for 10 minutes just to see some action. Plus the chat is not toxic like Cyrodill chat and hardly anyone teabags. It does not matter if you are a good player or a bad player you can still have a lot of fun in the Battlegrounds. I also saw players that were pretty much unkillable in Cyro dieing in the BGs so to me battlegrounds seem a little more balanced. The only down side for me is I would like some bigger battlegrounds like 8v8v8 , 12v12v12 or 16v16v16.

So onto the poll question - Would you be in favor of ZOS shutting down Cyrodill to make bigger and better BG's?

    I far prefer Cyrodiil's large scale, objective based, tactical and strategic combat to Battlegrounds, even if you expand it to larger teams.

    BG's IMO are no where near as fun. BG's are barely fun. If zero was neither fun or not fun. Completely not fun -10 and really fun is a 10. BG's would be a 1.

    I like Cyrodiil. I like Battlegrounds too. Why not do both?

    Though I'd like an additional PvE version of Cyrodiil
    Desperate for Roleplaying servers to bring open world non-organised RP to Elder Scrolls Online. Please ZOS.

    What a ridiculous thing to suggest. Although both are PVP, BG's and Cyrodiil are two completely different and seperate things. That's like saying they should get rid of trials so they can do better dungeons. Hey, were getting a new Arena soon so that must mean we don't need trials - they're both PVE right?!

    Hell NO! And I'm no the biggest PvPer. I'm a PvE guy that occasionally like to do PvP. I like both BG's and Cyro. I just wish they would work on all the current issues with PvP that need to be addressed.

    We would still have nerf threads. Have you not seen the threads complaining about trial groups being made of one class and a call to either nerf that class or boost the others? Most the time when PvE complains they are asking for a boost to the class they play though instead of a nerf to the other classes.

    No, but as I have said from beta on, they should be separate characters all together so that each, pve and pvp, can be balanced separate.

    bgs have been a sign that a games open world pvp has failed when games fall back to creating bgs. That and the balance is even worse in smaller numbers in this game

    Clearly a poor idea since Cyrodiil has an active population.

    Some like both Cyro and BGs and some prefer one over the other. The reasons OP has provided are great reasons for him to do BGs over Cyro but irrelevant for others.

    Not at all with how the game is set up with BG's it's 100% easy mode "since you win with gear sets and poison's" I went in there yesterday solo que on Xbox NA and never got killed and never lost a death match I let my gear carry me to victory.

    I generally don't like queued, arena style pvp. I much prefer the open format the Cyrodiil and Imperial City provide. I have participated in great one on one fights and amazing keep sieges with everything in between. I love that aspect and it cannot be imitated by any battleground.

    There’s PvE already in Cyrodiil as there are quests, dolmens, delves and dungeons. There’s the Imperial City and it’s sewers. Leave PvP alone. BG’s are fun. Man up, L2P and you’ll enjoy Cyrodiil more. There’s even leet 1v1 action. Enjoy lol.

    The option given is shut down cyrodiil not open it to PvE only. So you should have voted no then stated you want it to remain open for PvE only.

    That aside this is as bad an idea (almost) as just opening up all zones to PvP.
