Would you like to see player guild enhancements in the next chapter of ESO?

A trend in modern MMO is a player guild system beyond the basic system we have here in ESO. Player guild levels, guild halls, missions and many other enhancements to the game could be a major improvement to the basic level game. What are your thoughts about see new player guild features brought to the game?

Just like the single skill respec that’s going to be available in the next update, guild enhancements have been long overdue.

I think it should be part of a QoL update, and not slapped into the dungeon pack. Like the Housing Update, for example. That way they have time to refine it and add a lot more.

The obvious would be the guild hall as in house with multiple owners, this would also be nice for couples.

Social tools in general are primitive and will kill this game faster than cancer once the next wave of MMORPGs launch. ESO needs desperate QA and QoL fixes. 2019 will be too late.

    Guilds need:

A daily withdrawal limit from guild banks by rank rather than just on/off access.

Increased player capacity for guild leaders home or guild halls.

    Guild achievements and rewards ie:

    1.Guild Heraldry Barded Mount's.
    2. Guild Tabards that don't hide non core race chest armor. (Or Samurai style guild heraldry back banners if the former is too hard)
    3. Guild Heraldry banners and decorations.

We already have this stuff. Any guild with a competent leader will create a guild hall or have one of their officers do so.

Which is great until whomever owns that house quits the guild. A guild hall would belong to the guild itself, not the person who purchased it.

The lack of any kind of real guild features is one of the reasons I chuckle whenever I see ZOS employess called "community managers". There's never been any real intent by ZOS to have a community built around this game - they'd have given us the tools on day one if there were.

    YES!

It would be great to give player guilds something more, something to work towards...
I definitely think it would be -grand- to get more guild options. Of course, I also would want them to be available for all guilds, no matter if large of one of those tiny "circle of friends" guilds (and have wished for a long time people could unlock the guild bank or heraldry not only with adding random members, but also with a crown payment - same would be for any other options)

Guildhalls would be great, though not merely with the current housing... I would wish for the option for a guild to "conquer" some oblivion pocket plane (making it a big fight to "clear" an empty plot of land of daedra and claim it for your guild), a single "floating island" hanging in a dimension of its own (which might come in multiple flavors - be it a coldharbour-ish pice near Molag Bals domain or a "colored rooms" style region near meridias plane, or a deadlands-tastic isle rising from lava near where Mehunes Dagon lives, or... or...), where guildmasters then can start construction projects for all members to contribute... build a keep, build side buildings, build walls and fortifications, add NPC guards, add traps and defenses, etc.; in the end it should be less like a homestead, and more like a cyrodil keep - just player designed, so they can choose different crafting styles (dunmer style or nord style or saxheel style for pact guilds, etc.), and have the side buildings designated for different functions - crafting, stables, flower beds for alchemy ingredient harvesting, whatever...

And of course, building each of those would be a guild project, for all members to contribute resources to. And perhaps get some "Guild Points" they can then use to buy stuff from a special vendor that appears once the main guildhall is finished? Selling stuff thats hard (but not impossible, so guilds are not giving an insurmountable advantage) to get otherwise? Motiv pages, bind-on-pickup gear, special outfit pieces, special furniture, whatever...

And guildmembers could then donate furniture to the guild, for the GM to fill the guildhall with. The more they bring, the better their guildhall will look. And so on.

Naturally there could also be guildhall invasions. That of course would have to be on a semi-voluntary basis... a guild could be either set as "safe" but also not be able to start invasion missions, or a guild could be PvP-enabled, which allows its guildhall to be attacked, and also allows its members to attack other guildhalls... something like that.
Naturally such invasions would be even more difficult then cyrodil PvP, since they would have to deal with fixed defenses designed by devious guildmasters... who should be able to use not only auto-spawning NPCs like the cyrodil guards, but also every kind of trap we can encounter in the game, from the floor spikes to the wall flamethrowers, from the lightning gates to the falling blades - as much as the guild can afford to build (guild projects!) and place (limit determined by how many guild buildings are finished)

Another idea I would love to see was something that allows guilds to specialize... it has been mentioned before:

    Thannazzar wrote: »

More guild bank control in general.
Not just this "all or nothing", but... daily/weekly limits, limits to what people can withdraw (like, limited to "green" stuff or less quality, limited to "blue" stuff, etc.) all selectable per guild member rank and such...
    Thannazzar wrote: »

...that would actually be fun. Bonus points if it gave some buff to a group if worn by the leader...

Another thing could be a "guild outfit", now that we have the outfit system, or several... maybe per armor class, "Guild Knight - Guild Rogue - Guild Mage" that are set up by the guild master and can be accessed by every guild member in addition to any of their personal outfits... that way a guild could PvP all in "uniform"... making them look all military and stuff! You know it would look cool on the battlefield, right? ;)
    Thannazzar wrote: »

Another good one. A guildhall needs to have the guild heraldry plastered all over! And it should not be too hard to make a banner that automatically displays the guild colors, and changes if those are edited...

Also, there could be more heraldry! There could be guild missions to unlock new heraldric designs! There could be heraldric designs awarded for guild completion of content. Start a mission at your guild base, go finish this or that content with an all-guild party, gain a heraldry unlock for your guild!

And there wont be. Not so long as they have 2.5 million players popping into the game month to month and their profits are through the roof with low effort high gain crown crates, costumes and reskinned overpriced mounts. But eventually this game too will see the population eventually dwindle down to the hardcores and the loyalists. And then and only then will we see ZOS decide to pander to that part of their demographic by reinforcing the idea of "community" in hopes people will latch onto their relationships theyve built in game over going somewhere new.

In a perfect world big PvP guilds would be able to customize keeps or even build keeps etc, to their likings. Though it is kinda too late for ESO, The least they can do is to allow guilds to buy very large guild houses that can be purchaseable by gold.

If you think about it, the other real problem with this "build a community" and "develop your guild with big fancy projects/etc" thing is the whole '5 guilds' issue. With people belonging to many guilds (and heck, asking for it to be expanded to 10 or more!), and them being so large, what real 'community' is there? What group loyalty & dedication? Just more disposable things to jump in and out of as needed.
