So it's ok to swap to an alt on a different faction and take a scroll back to your main faction? Good work EP-NA. A 2k+ points advantage is not enough for this guy? Is he scared DC may even make some points back? Doesn't say much about the ethics of gameplay of this individual other than a win at all costs mentality. I would hope most ep would agree that this is intolerable.

If ZOS doesn't take action I will start doing this to other faction. If ZOS thinks this is ok then so be it, I will spread this to all other players and encourage them to do this. I'm not spending hours and hours playing this game and paying ZOS and then wait to see other factions cheat and win.

Problem is that I don't have an EP character. But I'm making one soon I think. Have to tell others to do the same when this happens.

Similar thing happened yesterday on Vivec EU. An DC or AD player logged in as EP and instead of bringing scroll back to temple was camping near Lake Rumare with EP scroll for like 5 minutes and eventually jumped in to the water... And scroll reseted. Effectively preventing the whole faction from getting its scroll back. The most frustrating thing about this is the fact that there is nothing you can do about that. There is no way you can force such a player to drop the scroll...

This feels so unfair - especially with recent changes to potential points that scroll provides. But I guess this is what happens when you allow players to re-log (switch teams) during campaign. I can hardly imagine anyone at ZOS not thinking "What if ?" when they changed campaigns to be alliance un-locked...

It is just hilarious that ZOS is making adjustments to class / skill / set balance every major update but major exploits like this (that affect end - campaign scorring and determine who will win or lose campaign) are basically untouched...

I think AD is always scared because they don't have guts to push Fort Aleswell and Glademist during primetime.

(AD is merely 300 points behind DC and DC is 2000 points behind EP. )

I still remember the first time I watched helplessly as someone started heading the wrong direction with a scroll...

nothing you can do about it...had me pissed off for a few days afterward...

now, after seeing more of the same and some other less than ideal gameplay over the years - doesn't surprise or upset me much anymore...

I guess that's a good thing

You can't just log into a new alliance and steal all their scrolls though - there are certain criteria which allow you to do so.

If you capture a keep containing an enemy scroll, have someone reliable move the scroll asap.
If you leave the scroll sat inside the keep - anyone on your own faction (including someone who temporarily swaps alliance) can pick up the scroll and run it wherever they like.

While I agree that you cant just log in and do it, I have to say that its nonetheless pretty easy to do. All you need is a friend in said alliance, you being a NB, you having a char in said alliance (besides the one in an enemy faction), being owner of 2 accounts and last but not least some preparation on both your accounts so you can pick up the scroll as fast as possible

Edit: thats when you dont want to involve your friend too much. Its certainly easier when your friend wants to help you out more than just letting you inside the keep

Ask your friends / faction to report him. I know that Zenimax does not tolerate trolling with scrolls. This being said, the only way to get him punished is to send a massive amount of reports, otherwise it will most likely be ignored as always.

No it's not. I know plenty of people who got permanent banned for it.

So ZOS's primary concern with this post is their "name and shame" interpretation of the TOS!? Nonsense!

In my opinion what the player did was no different than a running back in football DELIBERATELY running the wrong way and scoring a safety for the opposing team, in effect THROWING THE GAME. This behavior is at least as bad as deliberately exploiting bugs in the game. Behavior which ESO considers detrimental to the game can and should get a player suspended/banned per the TOS and certainly applies in this case for these reasons:

1. If more players start this behavior then PVP campaigns in ESO will become a joke (and any aspirations ZOS might have for e-sports will be DOA).
2. ESO PVP campaigns include competitive scoring and this behavior invalidates that scoring especially given the higher scroll values.
3. ESO PVP is built around cooperative factions and cross-teaming behavior like this undermines that cooperative and team minded spirit.

Can I ask ZOS to at least delete the character scroll runner used to do this kind of cheating in order to make it harder for them to do it again? Actually, It's best to delete all characters belonging to that specific faction scroll runner hates.

There are so many cheating going on. Not only scroll running. They just login in AD alts when POP calculated and log off their main characters. AD will be always 3 bars . But only 5 AD people to fight 20 DCs. Especially DC is doing this for long time for POP bonus. ZOs doesnt even care to ban or warn them. I am sure EP is doing that too on small scale.

Invisible walls . People just get in keeps without siege and kill npcs and get keep in few minutes. Especially DC nightblades. I believe some EP & AD players might be doing as well. Bleakers was just flipped in 1 min without even flagged lol.

Some people simply vanish when they are about to die. They simply just leap 30 M .

Game is broken beyond to get fixed. Seems ZOs doesn't care about quality of game nor cheating. ZOs might take some action not sharing with us. But cheating is rampant in PVP post summerset.
