Can't remove an outfit. Any ideas?

I've got 12 characters, and only one is having this issue, Every time I select "no outfit" the outfit returns whenever I travel, die, or logout and back in. I've tried reloading ui, clearing saved data, removing my armor, and removing the outfit at an outfit station. I've logged out and back numerous times. Nothing has worked. The outfit comes back, even with "no outfit" still checked.
I'm wearing Silks of the Sun, and I like the look of the armor. Not a craftable set, otherwise I would set that as my outfit.
I'd appreciate at ideas you have.

Isn't that breton style anyhow? Most dropped sets are made from standard styles after all... It will keep defaulting to 'outfit 1' when you log/travel etc.
The way I got round it was to make 'outfit 1' exactly the same as my current armour, and yup, it cost gold to do it

✭Try to go to an outfit station and select no outfit at the selection. The interface where you normally dye your gear for free. See if that fixes it. It helped me"If a stick of fish is a fish stick, it will stick like other fish sticks stick"

my temporary work around is to choose a costume, it covers the outfit, but I sure wish I could toggle back and forth from my regular armor to my outfit like I expected to be able to do. Quite annoying.0
