Error 1005 yet again, and you are just ignoring the problem Zos?

It has happened the past few patches to me and I have tried all the guides to fix it and nothing. I had to totally reinstall the game, and couldn't uninstall it without going into safe mode. Has this happened to anyone else? And why are we being ignored in the PC tech forums? I will also be putting in a ticket on it but I was hoping to find a fix to this before going that route. If there is any new ones for it. Reinstalling the game after every patch is a total pain in the a**....

As mentioned on the other thread, much the same problem here. I tried a combination of things several times over, including deleting the patchupdate directories, re-downloading the manifest and launcher, rebooting, running as admin etc. It's hard to be entirely clear about what fixed it in the end or if it was a random glitch that departed as randomly as it arrived, but updating the game is definitely not a fun experience and as a newish arrival, both of my experiences of it updating have been very messy.

I have a feeling they will just ignore it as apparently there is only 2 of us with the issue. And I have a hard time believing that we are the only 2 with this going on. I hope that won't be the case.

I found I had to just set my game to always run as admin. If I didn't every single update/patch would make it so I had to uninstall and reinstall the game.

I have it set up for that already. It has been a habit for me with games for years.

I just submitted a ticket on it. But I bet it will take Zos a month to reply to it. I don't expect too much from them at all anymore.

I had to restart my PC, run the launcher as an admin and hit repair just to bypass that crap.

This is undoubtedly, unquestionably, irrefutably the worst launcher I've ever had to deal with.

Run the game in admin always, and run the game from 64 bit exe, just run the launcher for updates, reset your router, repair your game install, update any addons, run game.

Should work fine, never had the issue you mentioned though OP but hope it works out for you.
