Update for Crashes/Freezing on Console

I hope everything goes well. I support all of the teams efforts!
I'll get some time in and provide some feedback when I get some time in-game this evening and throughout the weekend.
I'm sure it's hard work and I'm not here to shame anyone or anything. Looking at shadowy character models for 10-15 seconds is not fun...sad to see that fix being taken offline for the current time.
It's not a sprint, it's a marathon...if the end result is less shadow models & reduced lag/crashing issues then I will endure through these current issues happily.

Wow ZOS, really?! You’ve once again made the game unplayable. Congrats. I’m sure glad I didn't buy Summerset or I’d really be pissed. As a ESO Plus member, I’m just mad at myself for continuing to flush $15 a month down the toilet with nothing to show for it except lag, diconnects and huge disappointments.

Oh, I was in Cyrodiil (Vivec/NA) for 20 minutes and froze three times. The first two I quit and came back in. The third, I’ve been in a frozen screen for the last 20 minutes. I’ll let you know how long it lasts before it finally boots me out and I shut my Xbox off.

Ok, I waited 45 minutes in a frozen screen in Cyrodiil then shut my Xbox off.

P.S. Your game is broke!

Today while going through summerset, I've stuttered while questing, crashed while crafting, hit a long load time while leaving a delve, and crashed again while changing skills. I can't even imagine what pvps like if it's this annoying just doing overland stuff.

Imagine freezing just about every time you are in a battle and having to completely shut down and restart the game. That’s how bad. It’s maddening.

Most freezes seem to happen soon as the door comes down at keeps, either the inner or outer. Experienced the invisible player kill today, saw a flash of another player for a split second and then im instantly dead.

Yeah...nothing’s fixed. Xbox NA is still a laggy crash-fest in Cyrodiil.

In the middle of a keep defense, mid-jump, even, and everything except chat freezes. When I’m forced to close out the game and restart, I lose out on the juicy d-tick.

It personally feels like its gotten worse since then even small scald battles cause freezing and it seems like certain skills that I use causes to freeze as well.

I have a proposal, you should give console an option to adjust graphic levels and maybe render distance so its a little more forgiving on the console, i think console simply just wasnt made to handle a game such as ESO being that ps4 gets the occasional blue screen during pvp battles and trials.

I could be wrong though.

I lied. It's not better. It's actually way worse. Tonight has been a non stop series of hard freezes and crashes to the dashboard. Half of the players are invisible, so I'm dying left and right to invisible enemies. This is super disappointing.

Small scale fight at Arrius Keep. Enter outer wall to fight inside wall. Go to load screen as I attack. Come out of load screen dead.

18:14 hrs AEST
Respawn at camp outside Arrius. Another small scale fight. Game locks up completely so have to force restart.

19:00 Alessia froze
19:06 Alessia Froze again
19:35 BRK froze

Game chat not available for most of the time I played

23:13 Sejanus. Died during fight to retake keep. In death recap screen as game froze for pretty much everyone in our group as we came close to taking keep. Have video if required.

What is the update regarding this? This crap is UNACCEPTABLE again!

Also you should make an ESO LIVE event and bring in the people that are responsible for server performances!!!!

They sure do have a lot of explaining to do......!

long load times, microfreezes and even a couple of complete game freezes that cause me to close application and restart the game.

PVE is the worse I've seen it since CWC. Doing treasure maps in Reaper's March (CE and V) I had to log out because the stuttering was giving me a headache. Shor seemed about the same. Another lost weekend.

I have zero crashes 50 or so hours into this update game was a little jittery day one in summerset and random frequent load screens the one time i entered cyrodiil.

Glad I didn’t play this weekend. I would be totally frustrated! This is worst than the loading screen problem because at leased if we got rezd we were good. Now? We are done.

On top of freezing now the game is confusing my back bar and front bar weapon styles and skills.
For example I will be on my front bar and a skill will fire from my back bar when I activate a front bar skill even though I never weapon swapped. Makes for interesting results.

I'm primarily a PvP player, and Cyrodiil has ceased to be fun. Now it's nothing but frustrating. I play ESO to relax, not scream at the game for yet another freeze. I cancelled ESO+ last week, and I'm catching up on movies I haven't seen. Waiting three more weeks to "possibly" fight in Cyrodiil is making me rethink whether I even want to play this game.

So let me understand this. A fix will be maybe July 21st? When is midyear Mahem? Take the servers offline and fix it now. Pay the extra money to get approval from Microsoft and Sony.

PVE, PS4 EU

Freezes, lag and crashing are now more frequent. Unable to do daily writs, any trials, dungeons or quests. Quite literally unplayable, unfortunately.

Is there a way to change things back? Or was the change a permanent one until patch?

Played on XBOX NA Vivec last night 06/29/18 with a 4 man group. Froze 5 times when encountering large groups of people. This was between 2200 and 2345.

Other than the freezing the overall performance was ok...

Having been finally able to put some time in since the unfeaturing, I see no change. I play on an original xbone on both the NA and EU servers. I still get stuttering even when alone in the wilderness. Can't even run from the stables to the golden without restarting the game. Cyrodiil seems to be a lost cause.

If the gamebreaking freezes that we’re currently dealing with were as pervasive on PC as they are for those of us on console, the forum would be flooded with complaints from PC PVPers. It’s not, so perhaps let ZOS focus on us for a change? It’s clearly a bigger problem for us than it is for you.

No improvement on performance seen here @ZOS_GinaBruno. Can we talk about delaying midyear mayhem yet?
