How strong is the Vestige?

The Vestige isn't powerful per se, but is a conduit for others' power. Meridia, for example. The initial lack of soul is one part of what makes that possible, as there is no inherent resistance to the channelling of the external power.

Hopefully your character learns to do some of that without help, and can play on alone.

More powerful than the champion of cyrodil before he became sheogorath but weaker than the nerevarine and dovahkiin

Pretty strong, if he can haul a bag full of swords, daggers, heavy armor, a few million gold coins (even if they only weighed a few grams each), and a bottomless bag containing timbers, metal ingots, rolls of cloth, tanned leather, stacks of dried flowers and other ingredients. Also the odd catapult, ballista, trebuchet and a few horses and other animals he can ride. He can even sprint with all that crap in his bags :D

If Haskill is any indication, the Vestige is weaker than the single player game Heroes:

"The Fork excites and synergizes Magicka around it. When held in the hands of someone more noticable than yourself, the effects produced are dramatic."

"In your hands, it may be useful for conveying roast beef to your mouth..."
"Stand strong, stay true and shelter all."

From any Vestige's foe perspective he is more like annoying, than strong, considering that he can't be killed for good.

Thread does not provide outdated information and is entertaining. This is one of the threads that doesn't matter if it's raised from the dead :)

Technically now that he's best friends with the Psjic Order he could in theory use any of there artifacts to literally stop time and space all the Vestige has to do is stop time like the Order did during that brief time in the beginning of the College or Winterhold quest line in Skyrim and just stab anyone he needs

I hate how ESO nerfed the Psjic Order these guys can move Heaven and Nirn

Not saying the Vestige could beat the Dragonborn or The Hero of Kravtch but it wouldn't be as easy as some people think it would be

I also play on PC from time to time but I just wanna be left alone on there so sorry.

Is the Vestige anything special is or it just a normal mortal who was turned into a soul shriven? The Vestige has a difficult time stumbling more powerful enemies while the Dragonborn was able to do it with ease. I know it may not be a fair comparison seeing how the Dragonborn has the soul of a dragon. But in terms of the Vestige itself, the hero doesnt really seem to have any special aspects other than being a soul shriven (which gets resolved later in the game) leaving nothing all the special about him/her.

IMO to be a hero is a matter of personal attitude, not so much of special talents. Most real life heros are pretty normal guys, who showed the right attitude when it mattered - think of all the war veterans - pretty much the average Joe to the most part.

They're as strong or as weak as you want them to be. But considering the things they accomplish in the game? They're damn strong imo, both physically and mentally.

There is nothing special to the vestige. I don't know why people want to be "special" or unique.. Its just some random dude or girl who lost their soul.

Not quite. It is a special soul shriven that was strongly annuic in nature and therefore a paragon. You could say Nirn itself chose the Vestige. Kinda

I do know that the Vestige has pissed off the most Daedric Lords, (depending on your choices in Morrowind, Oblivion, ect). And apparently Meridia won't stop talking to Darien about the Vestige.
So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.
