I would highly recommend running a shield on stamden. In ESO, each class has different strengths. So if you wish to get the most out of a class, you need to play to those strengths. Well, stamina warden's strength is two fold: it has great burst due to the delayed damage on sub assault, and it is incredibly tanky by way of having the only stamina burst heal in the game and a very strong kit packed with great buffs and utility skills. So naturally, a shield makes those defensive boons even more pronounced.
I just started playing my stamden and am using the following build. Nothing revolutionary, just a staple stamina brawler spec, but the results have been great. x5 Fury (Jewelry+2 body pieces), x5 7th Legion OR Clever Alchemist (3 body+sword&board), x1 Agility/Asylum/Master 2h, and x2 Bloodspawn.
This is for solo play ofc. In larger groups, if you're not spinning you're not winning.

https://youtu.be/xLvjVPOsxdUI don’t like running 2h because my connection and FPS is too poor to reliably land in a busy visual field. I’ve opted for a pretty cancer combination of troll king, durok’s on 2h back bar, 7th legion, and then master’s axe/dagger.
Exerts a lot of bleed pressure and steel tornado does a lot to counteract stamblades (which tend to be the best class to counter play stamwarden). Troll king and the new gold food let’s you unslot a burst heal and get your speed from bird of prey. Sustain is weird and takes getting used to - same thing with not really having a spammable. You basically drop bleeds on people to pressure and then you build to a shalk + dawnbreaker bomb to finish. Durok’s gives a good heal cut so that all your damage ends up sticking for a bit if it isn’t lethal.
Build gives strong solo performance while giving really exceptional small group utility with a bulky DPS that gives defile and troll king. Obviously, change it for larger groups where you’ll have troll king on a healer and a dedicated defile role for a magwarden, but the build packs a lot of value into a pretty compact package.

I have been playing for about 3 months now, and for me subterranean assault is my bread and butter. It’s a delayed AoE that hits like a truck, lowers enemies resistances by a lot and is easily timed once you get used to it with a dizzy swing/dawnbreaker/reverse slice combos that will delete people.
I have two different warden builds somewhat copying two guys that I’ve seen make build videos.

Kodi’s Build is a much tankier set up with a smaller learning curve. No range or gap closers. Huge damage and good ulti Regen. If I roll in my guild group I just swap dawnbreaker out for perma frost for Zerg killing.

This build is harder to play imo you are much squishier but is a ton of fun. The tankier build of kodis gives me better results than this build, but it’s due to me still learning the game. But it’s so much fun. I also swapped magnum shot out for dizzy swing. Just a personal preference. I also run two different sets on kristofers build due to me mainly playing non-cp atm due to performance of the CP servers. So I run bone pirate/shacklebreaker/bloodspawn so I can still have good sustain without the cp.
These two builds and gameplay clips helped me understand from a new player stand point about lining up combos, using terrain, not taking uncessary damage, when to be offensive etc etc. Hope this helps!

Thank you, I will def check out the builds. being only playing 2 weeks I know I have a ton to learn still. Like I stated I just felt with Dottz build at least with my gear I couldnt get a kill or even hurt someone enough since my bars felt liek I had 2 damage abilities and 1 gap closer. Not to mention I have no sets etc yet. which is what I need to start looking into for CP 160.
Personally I’ve settled on 7th legion and spriggans. This means you don’t have to put any CP into penetration and if you’re in no CP spriggans is great. You also have a pretty decent stat pool and with the serpent stone I’ve got 1600 recovery not counting the Netch. If I’m solo I’ll use Troll King, and if I’m playing with a healer I’ll run bloodspawn for more ult gen or selenes or something.
I play a little weird, 2H in front bar as my damage set and dw backbar with my defensive skills plus rending slashes for the year as well as the dot. It’s a better group build than it is solo.
7th legion and troll king is pretty killer especially if you’re an orc and using the new Artaeum takeaway broth though dubious works fine. SB front bar is probably a good way to start, I just hate running 2H backbar and you absolutely need forward momentum.

@Vapirko So, I see a lot of people talk about the set. Where is the best place to see where the drops or crafted?
