I personally like the effects A LOT. But seeing as how it bothers so many people it would be nice to have that option.
Or better yet... Introduce it into outfit system with the ability to pick any enchantment effect you like.
Vicente Valtiere, Dark Brotherhood, OblivionSpill some blood for me dear brother
No, and the reason is Zos should not try to chase every whim a player has.
The main reason does not implement most every suggestion for a toggle on something is it becomes much for new players to figure how what this option or that option does.
Heck, it would become overwhelming for experienced players.
Simple as that.
Zos is required to be like this since we would have hundreds of toggles otherwise. This is not intended to be rude to OP, but a new toggle because the color does not look good on my character is probably not sufficient reasoning.
I abhor the change that now forces me to look at those dumb enchantment and poison effects, effectively ruining the aesthetic on all my characters.
So yes, a toggle please, at least, or go one better and add visual weapon effects to the Outfit Designer to hide/show/change to everyone's personal preference.

I cant believe how many polls are made and QQ threads about every little thing in the game. People find something new to complain about every day. Id like to Make The Forums Great Again and drain the swamp of all these complainers.

1. Ironic name much
2. We’re not QQing, just asking for additional options (if they can find the time to add random bs no one asked for surely they can find the time to implement an option to turn it off)
3. I’m sick of seeing time and resources going into adding these random things rather than fixing the major problems plagueing the game.

Considering the fact that most settings in-game now have a description telling players what they do, i find your statement to be rather poorly thought out. I mean if you think this simple option would be "overwhelming" then please do not by all means look at the options for half of the addons.
Sufficient reason? Considering the fact that there are several threads on the forums as is, asking for a feature like this or discussing how those players dislike the enchantment effects, along with the 80 or so people i've spoken to in-game so far about it, i'd say that's sufficient reason. People like having options, i mean after whats the point of coming up with an outfit thats going to be ruined due to some half made enchantment texture?
You're not rude, just non-constructive.

Not really. You just disagree. That is all.
The more selections forced upon players to more complicated things become. It is pretty simple and straight forward.
Considering in the several weeks this thread has been here it has not even reached a second page it does not seem to have the strong interest you are suggesting.

Im glad you enjoy my forum name. It sums up my patience for thread after thread of constant complainers. Zos needs to focus on actual problems and there are currently many.. Not waste time and resources on this fluff.
I can't wait for the weekly "please let me turn off the appearance of my vampire, i only want all the perks but I don't want to actually look like one" thread. Followed by the "I got kicked from a group because I run a bow/resto Dps off healer build, I could do it in Skyrim why cant I do it here?" Thread.
