My dog died in November last year and I was having a really bad time. I had him as part of my life for 14 years.

One night I looked up at the heavens asking God to please just send me a sign that he was ok.

Went back indoors and started playing some ESO to take my mind off it.

Not 5 mins into the game Eat-Eats comes running over to me, and I was left in tears with joy.

Here's what my dog looked like:

I'm very sorry to hear that. They look really alike! I lost two of my cats in the last month, one got hit by a car (he was 2 years old), and the other had to be put to sleep as she was dying from a heart failure after being with us for 15 years. Losing a pet is always hard. Now I have a little cat following me around is ESO.

    The both of them:

This is why I'm sticking to stuffed animals irl, I hated losing pets so much in the past I had pet rats, hamster, mice, cats, and 1 dog but ever since then nothing, just to heart breaking to see them go

It's great when we can do something even as simple as memorializing a loved pet that passed. Love ESO for that. One of them reminds me of my cat, actually, who I just adopted at the new year (best thing about 2018 by far).

I named him M'aiq, by the way.

He dislikes when I play ESO because when I use my keyboard he loses lap space.

Oh my. I made a thread quite a while back sharing how the little things make me fall in love with ESO even more. Glad I'm not the only one who appreciate those little things.

Also, there's an NPC in a tavern in Hew's Bane that if you fail at pick-pocketing him he turns into a bloody werewolf and comes at you!

I need to find this now. I had never heard of this before, but I need to see it now, if just for the novelty. This is awesome.

one of the npc's in vvardenfell does this also

The refugee camp on the westernmost edge of Cyrodiil, to the west of Hackdirt. There's literally no reason to go there - no quests take you there, no good loot to be had, nothing. Just a group of miserable people forced out of their homes trying their best to survive a horrific war. They didn't need to be added to the game whatsoever, and yet they were. Because war has consequences.

When I was leaving Queen Ayren after meeting her with Vanus, I heared my favorite NPC yell something at my back:

"Razum-dar: Tell the lovely Copper Dariah that this one looks forward to seeing her lithe figure in her tight leathers."

He has a way with words :D

Some people just call him Mike. Like my roommate, who apparently can't be bothered 'cuz he doesn't like ESO. Usually though, people just ask about it and I just say "it's from a videogame" (they tend to leave it after that). I did however have someone at petco nerd out with me at her coworker when I brought M'aiq in. Found out later that she's friends with another friend of mine (the only other one that got the M'aiq reference) that got a puppy recently, and named her Tali. M'aiq and Tali actually get along too! Most people don't get it, but it's really great when you find the few who do.

Doesn't bother me much though that I get questions about his name literally every single time I bring it up to someone new. I like it just because I know how the personality fits almost perfectly (looks aren't too far off either). I'm not sure in-game M'aiq loves to cuddle, but the attitude, at least, is definitely an exact match for the M'aiqs.

I was actually just reminded of another little thing I love about ESO. This isn't really something that necessarily applies to all players, but I love it when someone sees my character name and gets a kick out of it. I love it when I get to confuse people in zone chat with my character named "You", or when I go around stabbing NPCs on "The Nightmother", sneaking by other players making them do a double take. It's also a fun time bringing my character "Ma'iq" (not to be confused with M'aiq, Ma'iq's twin brother) into a guild event and messing with people. It's fun when you get to see other players' ingenuity come out in their characters' names, and when you get to show off your own.

I love that bosses in dungeons have idle chatter if you don't agro them after awhile. Had a team mate get a phone call in F Hold and we were waiting on 4th boss. He had like two idle chatter emotes one calling us cowards for not attacking.

Its something little and really doesn't need to be added <especially since it only plays if you don't attack the boss for awhile>, but its quite amusing.

one of my favorite little things is all the puntastic dog names of the guard dogs following guards around Auridon cities. that and the little chase between a dog and a kitty that is happening at the edges of Skywatch :)

I notice ZoS keeps adding songs to the flute and lute. I love that little adittion. I hope they'll add more instruments to play like violins or the like and the option to make them all play together in synergy.

    Dear ZOS!
I love you. I've just completed a Traitor's Vault delve in Summerset, and I love you for the story you gave us. It has... it has ALL the answers! Firsst, and very important to me: when. Second, an unxepected one: why! Third... this just made my mind explode - guar was first!
Thank you for all you've created. I'll be never tired of saying this (and please don't take seriouys a drama I caused recently, I'm just too sensitive recently)
