Free Psijic Crates Event | Steam Server Problems Sunday

Is there any word about what ESO is going to do about Steam Players who were not able to log in today to get Sundays free Psjic Crate ? There's no way for us to get the crate if we were on in PST because most of the day the servers have been down.

I couldn't get logged in all day Friday, but, I don't go through steam, so??? Guess too bad so sad no Friday crate for me.

I thought long and hard about buying ESO through Steam. Decided I wanted steam to process my payment and I already had an account with them.

What a terrible decision I made.

I requested a refund through Steam.

I own multiple MMORPGs through Steam, so do my husband and daughter. The only one that ever causes problems is ESO, because it requires Steam to log in for you. When that connection fails out you can't play.

Other MMOs like LOTRO, Rift, Final Fantasy XIV, Champions Online, Everquest 2 (and so on and so on) all simply launch the launcher for you and that way you can just log in yourself and don't have to rely on Steam and the game to connect to eachother. They all work perfectly fine.

Steam is not the problem here, the automatic log in failing is. Please remove to automatic log in function and allow us to type the username and password ourselves, ZOS. It would remove all this hassle.

I'd like to know the answer to that question too - I was unable to get access yesterday at all on my Steam account.

There are two issues here though - the first is the issue of the Crown Crate, and the second is the daily log-on rewards. I have now missed logging in for a day, so am behind on both of these rewards. I'm wondering if ZoS will intervene to ensure us Steam players are not made worse off through no fault of our own?

@ZOS_GinaBruno - anything you can tell us would be greatly appreciated.

At most, you'll miss one crate, and unless you haven't been logging in daily to get your rewards, you shouldn't be in any danger of running out of days to claim all of your daily log in rewards.

Agreed, it's not a big problem in the scheme of things but it's my wife's 'project' to get these things as part of her gaming time, and owing to her illness, her play time is limited. So when she is prevented from completing these things through no fault of her own she gets understandably annoyed. And I get commensurately annoyed for her

I did miss out on getting yesterday's crate - no extension another day??? That's unlike ZOS, they are usually good about that sort of thing, why not now?

Luckily I'm not on Steam but if I was I'd miss the last of this months login rewards as a result of this problem.

It takes 20 days to get all of them, and since it started on the 5th June we have 26 days in which to get them.

I was away on the 5th, and again from the 7th - 11th (I managed to log in as soon as I got up on the 7th and just before going to bed on the 11th but I missed the 3 days in between) and I'm going to miss this Friday and Saturday too. That's 6 days gone. So as it stands I will just finish it within the month. If I'd lost another day I'd miss the final 5 crates.

No it's not a big deal. I certainly wouldn't cancel any of the other things I've been doing for some virtual items in a game (especially since the crates will most likely give me things I will never use) but it would be pretty annoying to make the effort to do both - logging in on days when I literally have just a few minutes at home so I don't miss it - and then miss it anyway because of a problem that's completely outside my control and which the people running this system should be aware affected large numbers of their customers.

(It's especially annoying when this is on top of another promotion - the free crate weekend. So you're missing out on 2 sets of bonuses because someone else's servers weren't working.)

I think because it's only a subset of users. I did submit a ticket to ESO about missing the daily reward and Psijic crate but I am not holding my breath.

Entirely possible with those as I don't have them. Final Fantasy IV, The Division, ARK: Survival Evolved, Warframe, War Thunder and Grand Theft Auto V all work fine. I used to play Rift but had it via the Glyph launcher as it wasn't available via Steam at the time

i had a lot of work in the last weekend and very few time to access the game, still i made a great effort to login everyday between June 15 to 17 before 11:59PM GMT and kill a boss. i was carefully enough to go each day to a delve to kill a few NPCs and a boss, i didn't fail one single day, i pretty sure of that. i even did the writs and i didn't fail a single day, still, i end up receiving only 2 crates. this is not the first time it happens but it might be the last. i'm investing a lot of money in this game, supporting all dlcs and a eso+ account, from time to time i even pay for more crowns, so i clearly understand that missing a crown crate doesn't make any difference in the gameplay experience, but i had a lot of trouble to not fail the logins this weekend and i'm starting to get tired of being constantly cheated by false advertisements. it's another disappointment and it always feel like an invitation to quit.
