Other -- I Like Banana-Flavoured MacGuffins of Immensity.
The current system is just fine. I do not have to fight for resources.
Besides, it will not change. Not just because of the work to make a change and having to reduce the total number of nodes to a fraction of what we have now, but this not needed.
Having issues farming matts, find a better place. No offense to OP, but some people think it is just a panacea to suggest such a change and think the total number of nodes would be unchanged. Do not understand.
There are a lot of us playing MMOs that have generalized anxiety and social anxiety and cannot bear to socialize with people face to face, in public, outside of our homes, without a text buffer to give us time to process what to say and how to say it to cut down on our overwhelming stress. Despite a number of factors that would appear to make MMORPGs a really bad candidate for play for people with anxiety, they're incredibly popular with those of us that can't do crowds or voices or travel or Starbucks or sports. As confrontation and hostility are a really common stressor for people with anxiety disorder, the less conflict the better. Giving us a choice whether or not to participate in PvP is a great thing. So it's disappointing when a game sneaks even more PvP into core activities like crafting or socializing. Instanced player nodes would be awesome, and would not impact the economy significantly because there are always going to be people who hate the tedium of gathering (or just do not have that much extra play time to waste) and would much rather just buy stuff from people who don't find gathering tedious. Giving us a toggle for involuntary emotes would be another major stressor removed. Getting rid of PvP in anywhere other than Cyrodiil, IC, Battlegrounds and other deliberately chosen competition arenas would be extremely helpful, and would also bring in more players as there are plenty of people for whom even that much competition is a major turnoff--those are the people who are just playing modded Skyrim et al over and over, and ZOS is missing out on their ESO money by having too many PvP leaks into supposed PvE.
