I'm not a shield stacker. I play DK. I just learned how to deal with shields that doesn't involve sets with no counterplay or whining about it on the forums.

P.S I also don't have a problem with cloak. You think sorcs only defense is unfair but many would say the same about nightblades only defense. That is all I was trying to point out in my post.

Im not saying literally remove them, I just want them to be toned down a bit. free 100% crit resist and immunity to resistance debuffs+massive protection from damage while active kes shields by far the most efficient skill/best types of skills in the game. Sorc also have things like crit surge, and rune cag and daedric mines. That is plenty.

sorcs can ez one shot people. why give them one of the best if not the best (and easy to use) defensive skill in the game. Also pets can tank a lot of damage both PvE and in PvP (sometimes you cant help but hit the pet with a few skills).

Sorcs can't one shot people. They have the most predictable burst in the game. Rune cage is a bit overtuned right now, but sorcs are predictable.

frags hits for 8-9k LA+flame reach is another 6k. Add infused glyphs for 2k ea thats 20k. Add a meteor and its more throw in a overload LA.... lol

So using multiple skills plus an ult is a one shot? That is a burst combo, not a one shot. It certainly isn't any more deadly of a burst than stamina nightblades or stamina wardens have.

and i explained how shields are not fair but being able to cloak is fair.
    because:
we casting invisibility are able to escape and defend, nothing more. (no one died)

but in the case of shield stacking they are able to kill entire groups of people and not die because they can constantly shield stack.

And people would argue that being able to reset a fight and set up your burst again with the class with the most burst is unfair. Don't act like night blades just use cloak to run away. They use cloak to set up a burst in which people would die.

as i have said previously, its overpowered builds that are the problem, not armor sets, and in your mentioned case i would say the same, those builds are overpowered.

No, they aren’t OP. That’s how you play nightblade correctly.

First stack 5K weapon damage, hit your buffs, incap, then use the defile and 6 seconds of 20% additional damage to just destroy any shield they put up and take their health out. Stay out of their LOS, behind or on their flank if possible.

If they dodge out and shield up, cloak or shade-port and reset the fight. Try again.

It works man, I have no idea how or why you play nightblade like you do, but everyone else seems to be doing it ‘right’. No it’s not overpowered, it’s how the assassin class is meant to be played. Killing people, and it’s damn good at it.

You have THE BEST designed class in this entire f****** game. Stop whining about Sorcs.

lol overload light attack and frags kills most targets and its from range.... and you have shields.... the point is the damage is very strong for the utility and value of being ranged and having shields.

other than slot oblivion damage glyphs, merciless reslove (nb) and trying to time when the sorcs shield drops (basically pure luck if they suck, and next to impossible if they are good). how do i counter play damage shields? I dont have warden, mag templar, stam sorc,

Again im not saying remove them or something i just want to be able to crit shields tbh. This is coming from a stamdk main, who does play stamblade, but i like dk more because it is more fun.

    Cloak has ez counterplay.

My fix to shields: when a player crits a shield 50% (or some balanced number) of the extra critical damage is stored in the shield and when another shield is applied that damage is dealt to the shield. This debuff is lost after 1.5 seconds of not using a damage shield ability. Meaning if i wouldve crit you for 5k on your 10k shield and you immediately reapplied another shield right after it would come out to something like 8.5-.75k. Math is off i estimated.
