This seems rather like you were doing something that you were not supposed to be doing with the said characters. As you are a pvp player I can just guess how toxic your private chat can be sometimes/how your actions can be toxic themselves. If you like to tbag ppl that would be a clear reason for me at least to lock your character.
If it was a ban it'd be account wide, this is just another ZOS issue. Make a ticket

if anybody ever got locked for tbagging they should litterally be able to sue for it cause thats wrongful as hell to even do that for. who doesnt tbag on games since halo became a thing years ago.

Any kind of harassment is against the ToS and is a bannable offence. I have seen people get suspended for Stalking/Harassing a particular player, and some of it was due to excessive tbagging. Taken too far, it is against the ToS.

    I have.

Been banned or seen someone banned for it? Doesn't really matter. Water off a ducks back. It's just words and in their basest form - in an MMO!

nope its not the people who have had that happen hunt the people on purpose(as if your sitting there getting tbagged thats your fault at that point). when you die your bound to be miles away from where you died unless your part of a zerg throwing yourself at something. if the same person is killing you and tbagging you and your always being found by them then you can report them for it. but tbagging is not and never has been a bannable offense.

Cant give you any details as that is also against the ToS, but the instance I am referring to did not happen in cyro. It was harassment and the person was suspended for quite some time. I cant say more. Just know that you are wrong on this. Perhaps you should read the ToS. Most people have no idea what it says.

Buddy, it's against the code of conduct and ToS to harass other players in this game, and teabagging is a disrespectful action taken, by your very own words, to anger and humiliate your opponent. It's poor form, poor sportsmanship, and indicative of what kind of person you really are when nobody can see your face.

ZOS can ban anybody they want, at any time, without the risk of legal ramifications or retaliation. That's something you also agree to in the ToS when you launch the game for the first time, and it is not revocable from your side of the agreement.

Furthermore, claiming that teabagging is analogous to a tradition from older games such as Halo, and inferring that that makes it right is, in itself, a fallacy that drives a lot of people down self destructive and isolated roads, generally through their own ignorance. Tradition, as this is practically, is no excuse for behavior, good or bad, under society's standards. It simply gives people the ill-conceived notion that they are always in the right with their actions, and lifts the burden of critical thinking off of their shoulders.

Until you can factually disprove these statements, any further input by you isn't going to help your case.

ah but heres the thing that your missing and let me educate you because what he said proved me 100% right. he said it wasnt in pvp land guess what that means this person was following them around wayshrine to wayshrine area to area that right there can get you banned if you do it to long. tbagging not so much as its practically a esports hilarity reel thing to see a person tbag somebody. its not bannable or even trolling if it was it wouldnt be recognized as funny across all games by so many players. so no you cant be banned and will never be banned for tbagging someone if they try it sue them easy win. its been around since halo and nobodies ever been banned for tbagging a kill so put the blame on something else that mightve legitly got his characters locked.

Searching in the past posts on forums by ppl, you might have been reported by too many people and they locked those characters that were reported to "investigate" but thats only what we can guess until someone with more information answers this.

This is the most likely scenario.

Though its somewhat odd, usually an account suspension occurs until the investigation has concluded or if its not a "serious" offence they leave the account open until a verdict is given. At least thats how its been in the past.

Taken too far, it is against the ToS.

nope its not the people who have had that happen hunt the people on purpose(as if your sitting there getting tbagged thats your fault at that point). when you die your bound to be miles away from where you died unless your part of a zerg throwing yourself at something. if the same person is killing you and tbagging you and your always being found by them then you can report them for it. but tbagging is not and never has been a bannable offense.

Cant give you any details as that is also against the ToS, but the instance I am referring to did not happen in cyro. It was harassment and the person was suspended for quite some time. I cant say more. Just know that you are wrong on this. Perhaps you should read the ToS. Most people have no idea what it says.

i aint wrong. and you just practically proved it as at that point the person is following them from place to place which is why they got it not because they tbagged anyone.

Until you can factually disprove these statements, any further input by you isn't going to help your case.

ah but heres the thing that your missing and let me educate you because what he said proved me 100% right. he said it wasnt in pvp land guess what that means this person was following them around wayshrine to wayshrine area to area that right there can get you banned if you do it to long. tbagging not so much as its practically a esports hilarity reel thing to see a person tbag somebody. its not bannable or even trolling if it was it wouldnt be recognized as funny across all games by so many players. so no you cant be banned and will never be banned for tbagging someone if they try it sue them easy win. its been around since halo and nobodies ever been banned for tbagging a kill so put the blame on something else that mightve legitly got his characters locked.

wrongful termination totally voids the tos(thus is how so many gaming companies do get sued by most players unrightfully banned). second tbagging is none of those things you highlighted nor is it anything you didnt highlight. its a universally understood language amoung 99% of the hardcore and competitive gamers. it litterally means i killed you step it up. its meant to be in your face. so many people litterally laugh it off. is it meant by some to make them mad yes it is cause some making them mad actually makes them play better. again tbagging isnt and will never be a bannable offense drop it already.

This seems rather like you were doing something that you were not supposed to be doing with the said characters. As you are a pvp player I can just guess how toxic your private chat can be sometimes/how your actions can be toxic themselves. If you like to tbag ppl that would be a clear reason for me at least to lock your character.

I don't want to paint with as broad a brush as your'e using.....but

Yeah I have had a few acquaintances talk about this in the past few days....I'm thinking that maybe Zenimax is starting to give consequences for actions, as they have only locked one character my guess would be a GM is reviewing something that character said or did in game.

Harass, stalk, threaten, embarrass, spam or do anything else to another user of any Services that is unwanted

Go ahead and explain how it's supposed to make people mad without being disrespectful. And you still haven't touched on the fact that your account can be terminated at any time with no legal recourse available to you, per the TOS.

wrongful termination totally voids the tos(thus is how so many gaming companies do get sued by most players unrightfully banned). second tbagging is none of those things you highlighted nor is it anything you didnt highlight. its a universally understood language amoung 99% of the hardcore and competitive gamers. it litterally means i killed you step it up. its meant to be in your face. so many people litterally laugh it off. is it meant by some to make them mad yes it is cause some making them mad actually makes them play better. again tbagging isnt and will never be a bannable offense drop it already.

Please cite your sources. There has to be precedent somewhere for ESO, some proof that what you say is the accepted method from ZOS themselves, right?

Right now, you're arguing against the ToS, which is the be all, end all of this discussion.

if anybody ever got locked for tbagging they should litterally be able to sue for it cause thats wrongful as hell to even do that for. who doesnt tbag on games since halo became a thing years ago.

Any kind of harassment is against the ToS and is a bannable offence. I have seen people get suspended for Stalking/Harassing a particular player, and some of it was due to excessive tbagging. Taken too far, it is against the ToS.

nope its not the people who have had that happen hunt the people on purpose(as if your sitting there getting tbagged thats your fault at that point). when you die your bound to be miles away from where you died unless your part of a zerg throwing yourself at something. if the same person is killing you and tbagging you and your always being found by them then you can report them for it. but tbagging is not and never has been a bannable offense.

Too be fair its worth arguing about. If we dont talk about it nothing happens, debate is how progress is made. Of course it can end up in circles but to do nothing and say nothing is equally as pointless as going in circles so might as well be productive about it.

    ex:

As far as "Tbagging" goes, it really doesnt say anything at all to indicate that it is an offence and there hasnt been a precedent of it happening and people getting banned en mass as a result. They would randomly start banning something of a "tradition" in some instance that has never been punished in over two decades simply because a couple of generations have been conditioned to be oversensitive about everything. We're breeding weakness by allowing companies to cave to this crap.

More over they wouldn't be able to prove it at all apart from mass reports that can be abused. A screenshot wouldn't work and video evidence is not accepted due to the possibility of edits.

thats what you clearly described >_> but you cant really talk to people on these forums i guess.

All I said was that it was not in pvp, you assumed the rest.

whatever you wanna say im done with it.

Hahahaha, you people. OP asks about error 326 and the forum mafia derails it into opinion wars about tbagging after 5 posts.

    Congratulations, people. Or trolls.

Yeah, cause sexual assault ans sexual harassment are awesome! /sarcasm

this right here is why I don't PvP

are you serious? Next thing you know you will be asking for the vampire creation story to be changed cuz it offends you

Could be a security issue. Lots of MMO track your internet address, If you where playing from your friends house they might have thought the account had been hacked as the address was different form the one associated with the account ..so they locked the characters.

tbagging isnt a bannable offense if they did ban over that thatd bring some major reprecussions on them for wrongful banning.

I read a thread a few months back where some very "sensitive" players were considering tbagging sexual harrassment. It was obviously people that didn't like to lose, and couldn't handle taunting, so they decided to come here and try to set a precedent that it is, in fact, sexual harassment. I found it ridiculous, these are literally just a bunch of pixels, but even the most obviously incorrect complaint of harassment cannot be ignored, just in case. That's like complaining about physical abuse because you were killed by another player.

    @HorizonPK

If you still need an answer, I'll help steer this train-wrecked thread back on track.

I first came to the ESO forums because of an Error 326. You won't find much good documentation, as apparently it is an old code (as hinted earlier) for behaviour broadly thought of as 'hacking/exploiting.'

By way of background: I started playing ESO at the same time I made a new rig. Two issues occurred: 1) I kept having a massive software incompatibility between an older version of Corsair's utility program and something I never determined (I stopped using Corsair at the time); and 2) this led to numerous re-installs whereby I eventually just mass installed all the ASUS motherboard utilities.

#2 is what may be relevant to you: one of those was ASUS ROG's GameFirst or GameFast or somesuch. It is/was their 'network gaming optimisation' software. Turns out, in doing whatever it 'does,' it triggered ESO's hacking alerts big time.

Locked out for Error 326 was the result.

I advise you to put in support tickets. I advise you to send a message to @ZOS_GinaBruno to see if she can escalate your ticket.

Be ready: the first tickets will be 'closed' by the ticket wizard. There is an option to escalate. Do so. Once it gets to a real person, explain what has happened.

In my case, they went through the logs generated and, with a screenshot of all my apps installed, agreed it was the ASUS software. I removed it, and have never had the issue again.

SO ... look and see if the computer used has any software of that nature.

    Good luck!

AFAIK, character names should begin with letters from A to Z and not with special characters like "*,+/´´#'!"§$%&?"

You should open a ticket for change char name

That is a toxic attitude. You are making the argument that if all my friends jumped off a bridge - DuskMarine too should jump off a bridge. Just because people do this 'since halo became a thing' doesn't make it right.
