zaan aint that bad as people make it out to be you see that line roll dodge and its gone. but sloads.....ive seen people manage to pull over 10k with that dot in accordance with all their burst damage. so sloads needs looked at badly.

You seem to forget that people are running Zaan AND Sload’s :)

no again zaan thats a l2p and pay attention issue but sloads..........yea that sets just cancer.......but there is something that makes sloads alot more powerful but i wont name as i hope zos fixes it before long cause its fricken horrid.

Incorrect. Zaan is the most OP proc set in the game and is overdue for a nerf. A simple change that would fix it, and not harm PvE would be to have it so when Zaan procs it spawns from a static point. This way when you run from Zaan it doesn't follow you.

We don't need nerfs due to pvp.

CP does not reduce sload damage nor does CP increase sload damage

then why does the tooltip for the set show increased damage with additional points in thaum?

i'm not trying to start an argument, i simply would like to know, b/c something broken af, here.

    Because the tooltip is wrong/broken

If you gold up a piece of Sloads it show 1000+ damage on the piece, but it still only hits for 853 ( confirmed in CombatMetrics )

I've honestly never seen such an outcry on the forums over a single set - even the EOTS in its prime or the old viper/veli proc meta didn't see as much noise (and those were more about the combination of procs rather than a single set).

Given the scale of this outcry, I honestly can't imagine ZOS not nerfing it. (One of the reasons I've never acquired it - along with generally being poor and not being able to afford stuff that is likely to feel the nerf-hammer).

Personally I think its a tad too strong, even though I've adjusted my builds to counter.. but I'm probably playing the 2 classes most able to handle it.

But I also think that defile is perhaps bigger demon here.. the only counter to sloads is healing.. the counter to healing is defile - which is very strong and very easy to get along with sloads.

    So... nothing new then.

ye, even though there is an easy solution to all these problems, make damage procs only on mobs and bosses

Zaan is very powerful, but again, if you cloak/purge/rolldodge away you can break free from it. It sure as hell forces you to immediatly take countermeasures (whereas a Skoria or Selene proc might be something you decide to shrug off to finish bursting down an opponent or to heal right after you land a cc), but it's not unavoidable. Only DKs have serious issues with it due to the lack of mobility and purges.

If it requires some correction, it's just minor. Sload on the other hand is applied so easily (compared to zaan, which requires melee range AND keeping melee range) it's plain unfair, especially as every single class can run it with minimal opportunity cost (replace shacklebreaker for example, so lose a bit of regen and 1k of stamina and magicka for an incounterable dot that breaks cloaks, burns through shields etc). If you choose zaan, you are forfeiting another monster set, with sload you can just stack it, and it's not like Caluurion which is magicka only and has stats that are lackluster at best in PvP (AND has a 10 secs cooldown). If you run Caluurion you know you are forfeiting loads of stats, so you are still facing a trade-off.

BTW, in my opinion Zaan's tradeoff is the need to stay melee and to be a magicka character, as a stamina has better options than Zaan.

Could have been they had a Power Sigil but I don't know if that buffs it. Usually it will show 5x marks next to the DoT but if it was constantly reapplied then maybe it counted the last 10x ticks to get 8k damage.

      Worthless?
I don't think so. Zan can be made to do the same damage over its cooldown, which is pretty long while nerfing it for pvp. Reducing the range to 7meters would be a significant change.

Citation or link please. Because in the class feedback conclusion thread it said that Zaan and Sloads were being looked at. I play health regen builds so the damage is a joke; but I can see how low sustain or low health builds would have massive issues with this set.

you could say sloads is too powerful for you guys, right? I have no problem dealing with it so it can't be that bad...

but that's your argument when it comes down to it right? its too powerful for sorcs and nightblades?

I've never considered myself very good at PvP in this game, but this thread makes me realize how much worse a lot of other players must be. How does weak a** Sloads hit you for 15k?:-)

I PvP on 2 toons. 1 is a tank healer. I get focused all the time, and though I occasionally see Sloads on the recap, it's never more than 2-3k damage. My other toon is a squishy magsorc. Death recaps don't show much Sload damage. If you're getting hit by multiple people at the same time, anything will kill you.

We should just play the "new 5th bonus" game.

New 5th bonus to sloads: instead of damage...all nearby players with damage shields explode causing salt damage to all nearby players.

*salt status effect - baiting is 50% less detectable on zos forums.
