In-game necromancers use a "coldfire" staff, courtesy of Molag bal or something, and it would be neat to have that as option for destruction staves... like I mentioned before: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/371862/additional-weapon-skill-ideas-mk-iiInhuman003 wrote: »Necromancer Staff would it fit players to have one in the game or a multiple types like Blood Magic, Shadow Magic, Earth Magic or Bone Magic and so on?
...and conjuration appears mostly in the Sorcerors skillset, where we can conjure daedra and extra armor to aid us. As such it would make a LOT of sense to add necromancers as "prestige class" specialization option for corcerors... like: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/369966/class-morph-idea-mk-iiVaranisArano wrote: »Necromancy is a subset of the School of Conjuration...
I would not. I would not like -anything- as a new class!Nope, would like it as its own class.

Because for one it would be rather vexing to have to start yet abother bunch of characters to enjoy new skills, and for another it would be even more annoying if a class was added that would have fit one of my characters background better then what we got at launch... I had all that vexation with warden, I really would prefer not to have it again.
Thus I keep suggesting things like new weapon skills or class morphs, things that every character can benefit from, no matter if they are newly made or have been played since launch!
You have noticed that ESO is not using the same game system as TES-III:Morrowind, TES-IV:Oblivion or TES-V:Skyrim, yes?VaranisArano wrote: »Its true that the only Conjuration players can access in ESO is daedra summoning and bound armor. Any mage in TES-III:Morrowind, TES-IV:Oblivion or TES-V:Skyrim can do so. In ESO? That's up to ZOS, I fear. it is quite possible that in these second era times, many magical secrety are carefully guarded by diverse magically inclined organizations instead of freely available at your local mages guild...VaranisArano wrote: »Any mage can use Conjuration(which includes necromancy as a subset) so a staff or a skill line would make sense and be effective for any magicka class.

...and they even made up some lore about how the eight schools of magic we all know from the earlier TES games set almost a millenia -after- the time of ESO are only taught in Shad Astula, and have just recently (in ESO time) been suggested as a good idea to the mages guild to adapt, yes?
And that is why I am saying, in the current ESO system, conjuration is mots notable among sorcerors, so... following the "Necromancy is a subset of Conjuration" reasoning it would make sense to implement it as optional "specialization" skill line for sorcerors, yes?
Though it might make just as much sense to make it a standalobe guild like the psijic order, with its oen DLC or something I guess.Any mage in TES-III:Morrowind, TES-IV:Oblivion or TES-V:Skyrim can do so. All that being said, it -would- be interesting to have a third staff skill line. I mean, we have damage, and we have healing... a staff skill line that deals with buff, debuff and support effects might not be such a bad idea... but that would be a different discussion, to be had elsewhere, yes?
Interesting kind of poll options you provided here.
But since there's no "I would love to see both in-game" option, I went with this OMG one.
I would love to get Blood Magic into the game, but I also would like to get an actual Necromancer class for ESO as well.

For Blood magic, try a Vampire Magblade using Siphoning. If you want the Dragon Age style of blood magic, I think you'll have to go play DA instead.

We both know that vampire Magblade is not exactly as amazing as blood magic - skill line could be, if done well.
And no thanks, I'm not looking for another games which would include blood magic. I'm participating into thread which gives us a possibility to discuss about provided subject and blood magic happened to get my attention and interest.
Actually, I happen to think a "blood magic" staff would be a neat idea, and a good thing to have for magblades or vampires... could be a healing staff that does less damage then usual, but with an added lifedrain effect?VaranisArano wrote: »Interesting kind of poll options you provided here.

A necromancer class may or may not come out. That's up to ZOS.A necromancy staff would be redundant once the Necromancer class comes out though.

I wrote up a "One-handed and Magic" idea...A conjuration based staff would make more sense. (although 1h/spell should be made first IMO)
...and I would love it if people added more good ideas in that regard. A "necromancer staff" I would not like, that should be made as guild or specialization as I keep mentioning... but a new staff skill line geared for support, perhaps? With buffs, debuffs, summons and shields? And different staves that have different effects... "conjuration" staves that give extra bonus to the conjuring effects, "mysticism" staves that give extra bonus to those effects, or whatever... I would see that as valuabvle addition, yes?TheShadowScout wrote: »like I mentioned before: https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/371862/additional-weapon-skill-ideas-mk-ii
