A MASSIVE problem/exploit occurring in Cyrodiil unfixed and ignored by devs

    Light Attack - Player "A" - 2,187
    Lethal Arrow - Player "B" - 11,027
    Shock Torrent X3 - Mage Guard - 1,365
    Light Attack - Player "A" - 2537
    Endless Fury - Player "A" - 7,917 (Final killshot)

    Lag affects a lot of stuff, but lag <> exploit IMHO and the examples are anything but clear to me.

    In the example above the player was killed by the Lethal Arrow for the most part..and finished off by Lethal Fury. So that didn't prove much.

    Just a flat out lmfao at anyone who thinks Macro's do anything. The only macro in game that may be a problem is light attack/skill/bash but even that is still reproducible without macro's.

    Watching my ESO brothers and sisters struggle with Cyro Lag + Bugs is like listening to a rich Beverly housewife telling herself that her billionaire playboy hubbie hasn't been cheating on her. Let us be very clear about one thing: ZOS hears us and knows exactly what they're doing with their Cyrodill experience.

    On one hand, it feels pretty good pointing our fingers at Wrobel and Firor but in the end they are nothing but yes-men. Pawns in a sick corporate game where the Publisher and the Developer are working together to squeeze you for every penny (RedShell).

    This is like having two branches of government that enable each other's corruption instead of holding each other accountable for their bad behavior.

    As a result of this monopoly in the chain of command, we see a complete lack of accountability and good faith for Zenimax's customers. Case in point: one of our best and busiest streamers Kodi took time to annotate and upload bug lists to forums:

    NONE of us will be surprised to learn that ZOS hasn't touched the bugs yet, but somehow they found time to ban Kodi for trying to take a slice of the pie. Twice.

    No PvP experience is perfect, but if we want Cyrodill to be less of a joke, we have to stand up for these things and call ZOS out on their BS.

    The new Class Representative program? FREE PR to help placate an increasingly unhappy player base. (Hint they exposed their true intentions for the program in their disclaimer when they said they can't guarantee any suggestions from Reps will be brought to fruition.) If ZOS was truly interested in adopting feedback from the community, does anyone here really believe they'd risk their image by adding that tidbit in their disclaimer?

    I've played this game for years--I love the spirit of the game, I love the players. But the sun is getting low on Zenimax's complacency. This kind of corporate BS is simply unsustainable in a democratic market with free speech and grassroots potential.

    Seems fair to me. Happened many times. It's the NB job to stealth kill and one-shotting is pretty much the best way to do it.

    Just remember who they are and hunt them like the animals they are.

    The problem is the arrow did not reach me before the dmg is dealt. You can clearly see me use wings and even roll before the animation has reached me. In the first clip you can clearly see the damage going through shields. What exactly isn't clear here? People suggesting there is no problem with how snipe damage behaves server side are just baffling.

    Snipe *is* a bugged ability. It has nothing to do with "l2p issue" or "git gud". Sometimes you can't hear the sound or the animation, you just get hit by it. Then you can(in delay) queue up 2-3 snipes in a row, making the snipes hit at the exact same time, causing 1-shots. Only counter-play would be 50k HP :^

    Not sure whether that's the casting time + server, traveltime + cast time, server + travel time or a mix of both. But the fact remains - it's bugged.

    Although I keep asking myself how Dark Flare from templar isn't bugged the same way - as they function pretty much the same.

    I have a Dark Flare character. The ability has the same feel as Snipe. I kick off the next Dark Flare as soon as the GCD has ticked, regardless of animation. I find this strategy to be more deadly than Snipe because I can combo empowered Light Attack + Jesus Beam or Soul Assault for the win. I think Magplars are just very unpopular right now. You also have to focus on Magic Damage (War Maiden), Class Damage (Innate Axiom), or Channel Damage (Soulshine) for maximum destruction.

    If I’m playing at maximum awareness im tanky AF for a DPS Magplar due to shields and heals.

    If I’m not paying attention, looking at my bag in the open like a dummy for example, dying to 2 completely impossible to avoid snipes can end me. I’ve had death recaps of like 22k, 22k or so. This definitely happens on console.

    I’ve probably health dysnc died to archers 200 times over the years.

    More testing needs to be done by the community to pinpoint this issue. I would like for a sniper to record shooting and the person being sniped to record being shot and to be able to compare them side by side. It would also be helpful to see if other abilities perform in the same way.

    I got a 21k snipe on my stam warden s&b 8 impen full heavy armor, at first i was thinking of a bug too but then i followed this guy around and he was basically oneshotting everyone on his path.
    I believe that out there someone created a broken build for snipers(with a combo of unbalanced cp assignment and sets) and it bypass every defense you have.

    Nieter I'm i, broken builds are everywhere (at first i was thinking that the issue was the non persistent arrows and the high damage).
    Honestly i believe that cast time + air time of lethal arrow can sometimes desinc from the server, when i play my stam NB in ganker mode and face a small group i simply spam arrows like there is no tomorrow because i know that if they touch me i get oneshotted ( due to the glasscannon nature of a ganker build) but a lot of times i manage to get akward kills a couple of seconds after i get killed.
    Not much of an issue, i think.

    As a sniper i never see multiple snipes hit at the same time, there is always a delay equal to the cast time. Must be lag.

    Snipe is very bugged, yes. It has been bugged since the beginning of time. The only thing that’s new in Summerset is the buff that Snipe builds actually got, which I won’t elaborate on because it’s kinda gross.

    Also no, ZOS will not do anything about it. Hence why it has been an issue for this long despite what is easily tens of thousands of bug reports about a single skill.

    I understand not wanting to say it. I of the view point though that if it's out in the open, it is faaaaaaaar more likely to get looked at than if it's kept secret, unless you wanna abuse it a bit before it's nerfed. But to each their own.

    I doubt firor is a yes man since he himself is on the board of directors. It’s more likely they do what’s in the best interest for them in the name of business and what’s cost effective. Fixing pvp bugs and cyrodil is not cost effective do resources goto crown crates, dlcs, and chapters.

    Watching this vid in slo-mo (.25) you can see that there is other damage that is negating shields before snipe lands and does damage for the last two encounters. For the first encounter (00:06) It does appear that damage did go through your shield, however keep in mind that there are several ways for people to counter shield stacking and damage you through shields.It does appear there is a timing issue but like others have said I usually chalk this up to lag.

    This isn’t new. Snipe has been doing this since the game was released. I think I even wrote s post about it years ago. It comes up every so often. In every post the result is the same. Forum warriors defend Zos and claim it’s lag or they provide some other bs excuse saying it’s this or that and basically chalking it up to a Game mechanic and L2p.

    Incorrect. Here's the lowdown.
    Firor is in operations, he doesn't sit on the board and isn't even considered a manager.

    You know who actually does sit on the board? Robert A. Altman. Simple Wiki search on this chap who helms the Zenimax Ship reveals he has been banned from banking by the feds. Something tells me age and riches haven't made Robert a better man since.

    i've had it kill me inside buildings before, as it lagged out so badly.

    It is aggravating to me when clear evidence is presented and yet people still deny the existence of issues. For the first instance you can see in the combat log there is no oblivion damage hitting me purely snipes. The second instance is showcasing the often instakill that happens due to unsync'ed snipes. The third instance shows animation appearing way after the damage is done. I should have dodged or reflected it according to the animation but server side the damage was already done. The last video was also in the dead of night with 1-2 bar pop with no lag whatsoever.

    Your problem is you expect an MMO to be synced like a single player game on your PC. IT cannot be and never will be because of latency. Not possible.

    I have died several times from Snipe (typically two shots) and Poison Injection - from two different DC players (XBOX EU), that usually hang around together at that. You just hear your "ouch", and the sound "pssscchhht" from taking damage AFTER you fall dead to the ground. And you do all suddenly, no (snipe) sound prior to that - no nothing, just drop dead. I play in group, and everyone in the group has been victims of these weird deaths. Several people have captured videos and sent them to ZOS, but nothing is happening to these. They keep doing their thing. They typically stay inside a keep while we siege, and kill people over and over again using this procedure.

    IF this was "lag" or "just a random glitch", why doesn't it happen from other players? And how come these "glitches" appear from two players who obviously hang out together in Cyrodiil? It surely is fishy. I'm really close to "name and shame" here, because of the way this is treated when reported...

    I logged out last night after having this more than one occasion. 2-3 Lethal Arrow from stealth from what looks like one cast.

    Like Nightblades aren't overpowered enough, they've got the option for this thanks to Cloak.

    Has nothing to do with cloak. Everybody with a bow can do this, its a bug of the skill. You are hitting someone with snipe, snipe again and snipe again. Server does not deliver the damage to your target until it has massed up to death - then you get a death recap that tells you that you were killed by several snipes, seemingly incoming at the same time although in reality they hit you over the course of seconds.
