Characters disappearing from my list

I had (right in front of my eyes) a character just disappear as I was about log on.
I then tried relogging to see if it was a glitch, still gone.
I then tried recreating, character name taken (it was a high demand name).

I then /bug, waited forever, nothing.
I then sent an emai, got a random generated (someone will get back to you) message, also asking me for private info, name, secret question, email, login name, etc. This was over 3 hours ago and I heard nothing back.

I got up before launch to secure this name and eventually level this character when my guild got on. Now I am unable to do so because of some mysterious shadiness. I am extremely irritated over this matter and would like my character / name restored. This is not cool, not cool at all. I find it really strange after having this character for 11 hours it just randomly disappears and someone else was able to make a character with my name...

Hmm, interesting issue you came across. We'll dig into this a bit. Could you let us know your UserID and the name of the character? Feel free to PM if you don't want to post it publicly.

I have read (and heard from) other players who have logged accidently (some intentionally im sure) into other people's accounts over the past couple days due to a bug in this game. This is likely what happened to me and how my character was deleted. Can I please get my character back so I can start playing the game as I intended when I preordered? You don't even have to restore the levels, just the name will do... this is getting ridiculous.

5 days now, nothing?

I have seen players readily admit they tried logging into their account only seeing someone elses character lists. I have had people hop on my ventrilo saying the same thing. I have seen posts from ZOS particularly @ZOS_JessicaFolsom‌ addressing this very thing.

I did not pre order the imperial edition to lose the character I began leveling 11 hours in and then twiddle my thumbs for 5 days while waiting on someone to address the issue. I also don't wish to level the same character up again while waiting only to find out you wont give me a name change, something that would not be necessary if this bug was not an issue. This is ridiculous.

I'm bumping this because my friend also recently just had his character disappear. He opened his inventory, then crashed. When he logged back in, his character was gone.

I also just lost my level 25 character and 3 others on xbox one alnog with all my mounts and everything i bought with my own money in the crown store im very irritated

Calm down. This is a thread that is over a year old. Did you accidentally log in to the wrong server? The NA and EU servers have different character pools. You can create 8 characters in each, but nothing is shared between the two severs.
