ZOS didn't like this thread, they strike back with full force!

When I saw this in the store all I could think of was the OP here. :) I hope his head didn't explode because even I think this one is...well...excessive.

    REEEEEEEE!!!

Well, you must've survived it. You posted. Heh. :)

That is one hell of a garish guar, for sure.

You know, it doesn't really bother me too much. But I would love it if we could take cinematic shots of crowded cities and fierce battles, where the players just kind of blend into the environment.

That brought to mind the epic battles in LoTR. Anyway, yeah, I can see where NewGuar and that semi-transparent red senche would kind of stick out in that kind of a situation.

I don't mind what the game lets other people wear, or have trailing them around, as long as:
The pets etc. don't block access to anything, and the effects on the mounts and costumes don't overload the video card.
The game lets me express myself with plainer items, that are equally available. I get annoyed that a senche mount with flame effects is a freebie, but a plain black one is a limited time only thing, that's no longer available.

Knowing that the other guy is a tasteless poser (or pretending to be one) can be quite informative (or not), so I wouldn't want to turn that off.

I'm sorry, but I have to say that the Bal Foyen Circus Guar is now my favorite mount!

Guess ZoS doesn't agree as well. From the Psijic mounts to the mementos, from the weirdest pets and critters to the 'hidden wonders' which await us. How is it hidden or wondrous when everyone has access to it and will no doubt put them all on display for all to see?

Ugh, I wasn't opposed to crown crates as long as they had no P2W elements, but they may have just introduced something far worse. Many of these cosmetics have absolutely no place in this virtual world.

There is such a thing called overkill.

I think it needs to be more flashy and needs more revealing armours so we can show off our skins and body markings more.

I just bought that new brightly colored Guar... So there op..

I wouldn't consider that to be "flashy" - nothing is flashing or glowing on the mount - it just has "blue coral snake" colors, but not just these snakes are colored like this in real world nature, there are a lot of others, which have a pretty similar color scheme.

Agreed but people still complained about it.. Honestly a lot of us play fantasy games to not have reality based immersion..

So if my weapons and skills do fantasy effects its accurate to me as a fantasy genre.

I do agree.. when the game was released it was pretty close to the Elder Scrolls universe. I really like how we can change our appearance but many players are over doing it with very gaudy colors (I've seen someone in all bright red armor) or with very flashy tatoos. Also the mounts are increasingly looking like those from WoW.. all kinds of tigers, guars, wolves and so on...

That's why, I really hope for a future Elder Scrolls 6 where none breaks my immersion :)

I'm only going to say this, I think any mount, or pet, that you can get, should be in the game elsewhere, ideally in the wild even. ghost horse? where can I see one wandering around? and how as a corporeal entity am I able to ride it, must be a silver saddle?

    The title says it all.

Raid groups look like a gathering of parade mascots, every player has a personal Tinkerbell pet buzzing around their head and mounts look trial bosses.

I was not playing the game at launch, but started just before the crown store release. Even back then the game looked so much more beautiful (if you look at the videos). People used undyed breton armour and rode brown or white horses!

I get that people want to look "special" but Zos catering to these demands has turned TESO into "lord of the rings meets Avatar". A guy using pink Dro-M'Athra armour astride a red glowing ghost horse, looks like a vision from a skooma induced nightmare! Idk it has gone too far.

I know this will probably never happen, but if ZOS could just tone it down a bit, or better yet, add a toggle to display everyone in vanilla armour and with normal mounts that would be awesome. Might also help performance. ;)

Why is your phantasy so limited? And how the f*** you know about skooma induced nightmares and what they are like? Sounds fishy to me!

Not going to happen. The only thing you can do is put on the blinders and focus on what your character looks like.
