@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom can you explain who will get the reward? In the announcement nothing was said about the extension, are we not getting award even when we all participated?

Yeah, I fear I just wasted a few hours watching a mostly not-about-ESO thing for items that it now sounds that I'm unlikely to receive. I signed up for a Twitch account today based on the ESO rewards for watching through Twitch, linked my accounts, but didn't see anything about an extension until too late :(

I honestly watched for the whole Bethesda gameline since all of theyr games are awesome, still i was hoping for a little extra since ive put all my effort to stay awake till 3.30 am (from italy).
If someone in zos can tell us if we will get an e-mail or something to let us know if we have won the free stuff...

Bloody hell. I don't use Twitch so I thought "extension" was their word for channel or something. So I just wasted my time listening to a bunch of loud stuff I wasn't interested in for nothing. Great. I'm pissed.

I was unable to get the extension to work on Chrome and was too tired to keep trying seeing as it was 2:30am for me.

But yeah, just in case anoyone missed it :

No, you did not need to participate in the trivia game for the twitch drop.

It was just there for fun.

I linked accounts, listen to the twitch on background while playing ESO, and tab back now and then for the games trailers. How in oblivion I even know that there is this little button hide at the corner of the vid that you supposed to click on while watching the show?

So apparently we should have been able to play a trivia, but if you used Chrome or maybe other factors it likely didn't work. I granted the extension access, already something many people would not know to do and there were no instructions given beyond linking your account, but the extension never loaded. I had no way of knowing it was going to work, assumed some part of the show would stop and give us questions or something. Right at the end, when I realized something wasn't right, I switched over to MS Edge to see wtf, I had no idea the trivia had been running the whole time. So when It finally showed using Edge all the questions were done.

If participation and having the Extension working was a requirement for the twitch drops that is pretty brutal. I'm hoping it's not.

    It's not required.
All that was required for the drop was to enable the extension. The trivia game and leaderboards were just for funzies, it said so in their FAQ and are unrelated to the drops. Did NONE of you read the FAQ?

What FAQ, where? Do you mean the news article where it says:

"Anyone who accesses our Twitch extension during #BE3 (via Twitch.TV/Bethesda or Twitch.TV/Twitch) will be enrolled to receive a special Twitch Drop package featuring items for The Elder Scrolls Online, Quake Champions and The Elder Scrolls: Legends."

Because yeah, I read that, that's why I had questions about how to "access" the extension before the event.

Yeah but you had to enable it, and since there was NO EXTENSION on the twitch app, it was wierd to read that

When I read the article on Bethesda.net, I was under the impression that all we needed to do was link accounts and done - we would get rewards. I don't recall anything about the need to allow a browser extension or to play a trivia game.

So I went ahead an set up everything, thinking it would be nice to get some in-game rewards for watching the presentation live instead of waiting until later to watch it when it was more convenient.

While I was watching a guild member advised that we also needed to allow a browser extension. So I clicked on every thinking that looked like an icon trying to find something that allowed a browser extension. I was so engaged in trying to do this that I missed the first couple parts of the presentation. I never had any luck until after the presentation concluded. For a short time there were four extra buttons over the video area and I clicked on that led to a faq about the drops. While I was trying to read that, it simply disappeared and the buttons never made another appearance. (I was using my primary browser, Chrome, and who would have thought that you would have to fire up another browser to get things to work).

At this point, I will have to say that this whole business about an extension was and is distracting and sure takes away from what was a wonderful presentation on a great new game that I have now pre-ordered and which I plan to enjoy.

As far as I'm concerned, i did everything I could be reasonably expected to do to qualify for in-game rewards and sure hope that I see them in-game today.

And I sure would appreciate some kind of official word on this issue.

Please could you give the link for that FAQ assuming it came from Bethesda or ZoS? From what I'm reading, it seems like you had to access this FAQ through the extension? If that's right, well no wonder we bloody didn't read it because we couldn't get the extension to work.

Ah right, when the stream went live, the extension icon popped up on the stream window. You had to enable it and allow access. And that was it. Then you had that FAQ button on the stream window where it clearly said you did not need to do anything else than link your accounts and then that was that.

Yeah the information on how to do those inital steps was rather limited and I grabbed most of it on the forums rather than the Bethesda website.

I had to reload the page to make it show. If you tuned into the stream before the extension went live you had to refresh the page.

Well that's the issue for a lot of us. I had the puzzle piece appear, I enabled it but then nothing else from there - I never saw the FAQ button or anything else extension related. From what you're saying though it sounds like I should be eligible I guess, wish I knew.

Luckily it was only installed this week, for a different reason. and i had not added any security to it at all... My opera is my standard browser so it has a lot of ad blocking going on..

I honestly think my Firefox only worked because it had none...

I had linked my twitch account with my eso and bethesda.net account, I enabled the extension and participated in 1 question successfully, yet I received neither the wolf nor the crates. This probably means winners would be picked randomly and not everyone would get the goods?

The trivia, etc was just bonus. The 'help/faq' at the bottom even said it had no effect on the drop.

Basically, as long as you had to grant permission, the extension loaded, and that should be enough.

So not only did they ask us to just hand over keys to our browser, which is a huge security risk, to a random "extension", now we get nothing if the POS didn't work properly?

Which "genius" cooked up this moronic idea?

Do you realize that it was 5 AM for me when the show started?

Me neither. :( Firefox used, asked many guys what is this extension about and all said "just have both sites linked with twitch". And I did... Oh well...

It was poorly explained. I even searched for "extension" within Twitch and found none for E3 or Bethesda.
