I thought the polls were just for fun?

As long as your Twitch account is linked to your ESO account, you should be eligible for drops?

I mean, wouldn't that be a really horrendous PR issue on Bethesda's part to have to require you to click an extension on a browser that may or may not even show up in the first place? Not everyone is browser savvy, having to go into html or enable things through alternate browsers lol.

This all sounds silly. lol

(If they really do require you to click on all that stuff, then seriously, Bethesda needs to quit their day job trying to run a Twitch Live account. lol)

Yeah, I fear I just wasted a few hours watching a mostly not-about-ESO thing for items that it now sounds that I'm unlikely to receive. I signed up for a Twitch account today based on the ESO rewards for watching through Twitch, linked my accounts, but didn't see anything about an extension until too late

I used the Twitch desktop app, and even for that, the extension was broken.

I spent the time to like my ESO account to Twitch.
I spent the time to make a Bethesda.net account.
I spent the time to link my Bethesda.net account to Twitch.
I enabled the extension.
I spent the time watching the entire stream which was really awesome and exciting.

Now people are saying that if you were actually watching the stream but not participating in some random poll then you get nothing. Really? Nothing? Because you didn't do something that was never mentioned in the announcement at all?

This is supposed to be giving the company good publicity not generate anger. Come on ZOS don't be stingy, it costs you nothing to give this virtual collection of pixels to everyone that watched the stream.

Used Twitch desktop app and extension did not work there for me as well. Switched to browser (Firefox) and there it worked fine, after granting permission I could interact with the overlay.

For those concerned about the polls, participation had no impact on the reward (at least it said so in the disclaimer).

I eventually got the extension working on FF. This whole business is so stupid it didn't even work on Twitch's own desktop app!

So, you had to:

1. link your ESO and Twitch accounts (easy on the ESO site once you got past the moronic "security" nonsense);
2. find a platform on which extensions worked (FF for me, some ppl said Edge too);
3. grant it access;
4. watch the stream;
5. pray to the deity of choice.

PS: The polls and trivia questions are irrelevant. They were fluff only. It said so in the extensions FAQ if, of course, you managed to get that far.

And when we are suppouse to get this twitch stuff? After maintenance? I linked my ESO and Bethesda accounts with twitch, i used extensions and i even answer few questions. Watched all stream from begining to the end.

Didn't have an option to enable the extension either and I was on Chrome. Probably won't do this in the future considering the waste of time through hoop jumping only to get stiffed because I'm using Chrome. It sounded like everything was supposed to be set up, but clearly on certain browsers- it was not.

FYI it did work on Chrome.

I use Chrome and the extension worked for me. So it wasn't browser exclusive for everyone.

In other words, we had to do not only what was instructed in the announcement linked on the ESO launcher but also what was instructed in a separate unadvertised, unlinked page that was part of a website that was down during the stream, when that latter set of instructions could be performed only on a few select platforms, which did not include Twitch's own desktop app, and even then it was hit-or-miss.

Does that about cover it?

I am just wondering did they want us to watch the show they spent so much money on. or watch chat and try to keep up with it? I really see a conflict of interest on their part. I get drops from ESO:LEGENDS and EO TWITCH never had an issue. Watch the show...or watch the chat....?

Well, not really chat. I think it was more about the preorder links for all the games they covered. Those were all immediately there after a game was mentioned in the stream...

Polls and leaderbords were just some fluff, chat you could even turn off from the beginning, that does not affect the extension.
But yeah, at the parts that interesed me I couldn't have bothered less about all extension features.

Yeah someone on my discord mentioned the extension... I was answering questions pre stream... they kinda stopped when the show started except for a few during fallout...

Windows 10, Chrome btw..

I let the stream run half hour before to 15 mins after, linked both accounts, got 715 pts for answering questions...

Bruh... I will be annoyed if I don't get stuff... lets see what happens in the next couple days...

It wasn't very clear... and really it shouldn't need lot of instructions... bit of a blunder on their behalf...

The whole set up was convoluted, frankly.

It shouldn't be this complicated.

I never saw a popup even though extensions are enabled in my browser (Firefox.) Everything was linked days 2 days prior.

I'd better get my wolf or I will be disappointed Bethesda.

Same experience here...We all linked our ESO account and watched and assumed that would be enough. By the time I found the polls, they all showed closed for me. Hopefully we are all overcomplicating it, because it was not made clear at all and placed a lot of assumption on people knowing how Twitch extensions worked.

An official response on these matters would be gladly welcome. I linked the accounts and used the extension, watched the whole stream as it got me interested but couldn't manage to answer any poll or question as they were popping up too fast

I was on firefox, accounts linked, extension granted permission - it didn't work, I tried on it on chrome too and couldn't get the extension to work there either.

The most annoying part is there were SO MANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE EXTENSION and ZoS ignored all of them - if they actually don't give people drops and the mount because they didn't use it, it'll be a slap in the face for those customers.

MMm. The only instructions I got were to link my ESO and Bethesda accounts and I did both of those things and then stayed there for the whole show. That better be all that was required. I don't like to watch tv on my computer.

The FAQ on the extension said you had to “Use the extension” in order to get a drop (as well as the ambigous info about linking your eso and bethesda.net accounts to twitch).

What “use” meant wasn’t clear. Just give the extension permision and have it running? Click on the extension tabs? Or actually take part in the quiz?

It's not required.
All that was required for the drop was to enable the extension. The trivia game and leaderboards were just for funzies, it said so in their FAQ and are unrelated to the drops. Did NONE of you read the FAQ?

I also followed the instructions provided and watched the stream. We'll see what happens, I'm not overly concerned at this point.
