PS : If your nerdrage does boil over from not being able to play for a few hours (THE HORROR) and you decide to ragequit please remember to be so nice to give someone else your stuff. Kthxbai.

... Dude, it's the weekend. Those "few hours" you laugh at people "nerdraging" over are some of the only hours in a week that many players have to spend any real length of time playing this game.

You were baited, don't be baited.

actually... you can play eso without steam without needing to unlink or installing the game again with another launcher, i'm just playing right now

So, if ZOS cant fix this problem with Steam once and for all AND we can't to unlink eso account from Steam, does this situation fall into the category of "total ***"? Just curious. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

So there's going to be a maintenance tomorrow on a Sunday. It better fix all the.. 'interesting side effects introduced with Summerset' for PC users. Going to love rushing through my dailies and waiting for the servers not to be down for most of the day. I'll move on soon. This is not worth it after I wrap up what's left of the Summerset content I paid for.

Meh, not really raging to begin with... Mostly just in "Thing I want to do+something stopping me from doing that thing=end up just pointlessly staring at the thing stopping me from doing what I want to do, even though I have dozens of other things I could be doing right now... Because damn it, I want to do that thing!" mode right now. -_-

Happens to me whenever there's a power out as well... At least I have been able to get myself to watch youtube videos while waiting though. There's that.

See, here's the deal. Unless Steam magically exists on Xbox or somehow people use their Steam accounts to play Xbox ESO... Then it's quite much looks like as if it wasn't an issue purely affecting Steam users.

Getting tedious to pay to play and be unable to play, given that this seems to strike when I am not in work....

Having paid to play, and given that I buy crowns too, would it be so bad to unlink my Steam?

Given how frequently this has got in the way (I must be unlucky), I cannot imagine buying any more crowns and can imagine drifting away.

Completely in the same boat, I have spent a crapload of money on this game in the short time I have been playing and issues like this being a WEEKLY almost DAILY occurance, along with other issues in the game, do nothing short of send me looking for other game options and to save my damn money and stop paying to play a game I am not allowed to play.

    Agree. 100%.

I'm not sure where you get your theory from, but it's bs. Customers are much more appeased by knowing their being listened to than by silence. Have you ever been in the customer service industry? SMH

Actually, yes. Tech support. And I can count the customers I had to tell I can't help them right away and were grateful about it on one hand. The other 4 thousand threatened to lodge complaints with the company (and never did). I might be exaggerating a bit, but you get the idea.

Also, internet folks are RELENTLESS in their verbal abuse. While you may not agree with them staying silent on the matter, I certainly do understand their reasoning behind it.

The number of voices who are willing to engage in civil discourse versus the number of voices just wanting to vent their rage is very overwhelmingly skewed towards the latter.

    You are entitled to nothing.
If you want compensation, use a service and bargain a contract which allows for compensations to be demanded, and if demands not met, taken to court.

Read the terms carefully. Corporate lawyers cost a lot. Think about it, it's been written very carefully in a way that "technical difficulties" are coded in to happen and all you get is puppy eyes and a shrug. Unfortunately basically everything can be considered a technical difficulty... and because no lives were in danger, it's a very slim chance to sue for anything basically.

So yeah. Go and play something else.

It would be helpful if ZOS provided some update on where they are in the process of fixing this problem. Even telling us that they still have not identified the problem would be useful because then we know that a solution is not immediately imminent and we can make alternative plans for our evening.

I think you are missing the point here. I do not give two hoots about what they are doing at E3. They may all be drunk by now and having a great time. I do however care about the current issues and that the support team which is in place and looking at the problem are silent. (No a red banner that never update is not enough). Communication in any problem situation is key. And missing here.

The support team is under no obligation to respond to you, they are doing their jobs right now and since the problem seems to be localized to only the Steam client, I imagine it very well could not even be an issue that they can fix. That means they have to contact Valve, communicate with their team and try to find the problem and fix it.

I don't know what else to tell you except I'm sorry that you are angry and have an issue with the current situation, it sucks, but there is nothing we can do about it except wait patiently for the problem to be resolved. The moderation team usually do a great job, but this is a unique situation where they cannot respond as quickly as they'd like to, for a variety of perfectly valid reasons.
