Valve hasn't been to E3 for many years now.

Also E3 is a sales event. It's not for the grey system and operations people. It's marketing and sales and flashy videos and talks and lies. Just because an event is ongoing doesn't mean people who are responsible for keeping the boat afloat can leave their workplaces.

do smth! i can't log in too. why the hell i should spend my saturday night refreshing forum thread to find out whether steam log in was fixed? i want to play here and now. those steam issues occur the 4th time wihin one month, it's rediculous! if you can't manage steam issues, why we players have such stupid platform as steam to log in to the game? unlink your game from the steam so we would take a chance to stay at the game as the other entire game community!

Also remember that a lot of people at Bethesda/Zenimax are in San Diego right now getting ready for their E3 conference tomorrow. And I mean a lot of their staff, for those wondering about the lack of communication.

I'm sorry but you are wrong. That is not a valid excuse. No company should leave support exposed in this way. As far as I can see there has not been a single communication about this outage. That is not acceptable. I accept technical issues happen but I will not accept silence regarding those problems.

It would be irresponsible to send so many people to an event that it would create neglect on their properties. There's no way that many Beth staff are at E3. It's more about a lot of Valve staff went at E3, and the ESO folks are trying to reach out to Valve to resolve the issue.

According to Twitter Gina is there. I assume most of the CM team are there too.

This is getting hillarious. It turns out, do not wait for help until the end of E3?

    It's in Steam\steamapps\common\Zenimax Online\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client for me.

Doesn't work for me though. It wants a login, and since Steam handles that part when you go through it... Don't have one to give it.

Edit: oh, never mind. For some reason I thought you were asking about windows...

Ah well, these things happen. Timing sucks of course, but it's not like they do that on purpose. We still don't even know for sure whether it's a Steam issue or a ZOS issue.

In any case, I understand not hearing much from official channels is frustrating to people here but you have to understand that there is little they can say that isn't going to spawn more problems than it addresses. Try to appease an angry audience with anything other than a complete fix of the problem (which is what they're working on anyway) is just going to stoke the fires. Hell, even then internet folks tend to not be satisfied. So that's part of the reason for the silence on this matter aside from the PSA banner.

You'll hear from them when they have identified the problem and fixed it, not before. It's better this way for the sake of everyone's sanity, since nobody wants to hear from them and then hear that they can't fix it right away. It would just make things worse. Wait for the fix.

PS : If your nerdrage does boil over from not being able to play for a few hours (THE HORROR) and you decide to ragequit please remember to be so nice to give someone else your stuff. Kthxbai.

And I believe that E3 is a bit higher on the priority list than responding to a forum topic to tell you that they know since they have already made an announcement about it. We also don't know if they are in any kind of meetings, whether that be business or meet and greets and a multitude of other factors. Gina and the others at E3 are basically working two jobs right now. I'm sorry if you're offended about the perceived lack of communication, but they have other priorities right now that are more pressing.

Well said ..... but silence is not the answer. TBH that annoys me more since I have no information on which to base my decisions. Normally we get some information from Gina but this time there is nothing. ( and NO a red banner does not cut it. I get more information by failing to login than that banner gives me.)

Well the thing is, we live in a capitalist world. So unless incident like these start to make a show on their stock prices (which they don't have because private company) or quite simply incidents like these bring up enough monetary problems that put the financial survival of the people responsible in perceivable danger, things won't change.

Guess why they aren't giving refunds and time extensions for your subs to cover maintenance and down times? Because you can't legally withdraw from your sub once it is paid, and the one that has the money in their hands have the ability to laugh. It's just how the world works.

... Dude, it's the weekend. Those "few hours" you laugh at people "nerdraging" over are some of the only hours in a week that many players have to spend any real length of time playing this game.

Yep, caring about the people that play your game, buy your crowns & subscriptions & chapters (that are crashing and lagging and freezing) over a sales show is really asking for too much. Well, I get it at least. /s

I think you are missing the point here. I do not give two hoots about what they are doing at E3. They may all be drunk by now and having a great time. I do however care about the current issues and that the support team which is in place and looking at the problem are silent. (No a red banner that never update is not enough). Communication in any problem situation is key. And missing here.
