I can't log in

    No updates yet. I dont know what to do, my plan was to play ESO this evening, have no back-up plans:(

    Technical issues happen. I get it, but... It's Saturday, and this has already been going on for hours already.

    I got in by going to the game folder and opening the game straight from the game file there. since my desktop icons seem to be linked through steam, I am deleting them and creating desktops straight form the game. if that works, I will again try to get rid of the steam api.

    steam has been one HUGE PITA since I first installed, and I have spent a year trying to get rid of all the bits and parts that remain.

    Getting tedious to pay to play and be unable to play, given that this seems to strike when I am not in work....

    Having paid to play, and given that I buy crowns too, would it be so bad to unlink my Steam?

    Given how frequently this has got in the way (I must be unlucky), I cannot imagine buying any more crowns and can imagine drifting away.

    Same problem here. Had been playing for most of the day & logged out an hour ago. When I tried to log in in last 15 minutes the log server doesn't seem to process & I get an error. I'm on steam also.

    Another Steam player here who cannot log in on a Saturday evening. I really wish I had purchased this game directly from ZOS rather than through Steam. If these login problems persist, I wonder if ZOS can provide Steam customers with a way to migrate their accounts from Steam to the regular ZOS servers.

    Completely in the same boat, I have spent a crapload of money on this game in the short time I have been playing and issues like this being a WEEKLY almost DAILY occurance, along with other issues in the game, do nothing short of send me looking for other game options and to save my damn money and stop paying to play a game I am not allowed to play.

    I bought ESO through Steam and I can't log in through ESO64.exe like some have said they have. I was able to play earlier this afternoon but I haven't been able to get in for half an hour. Hoping they get this fixed soon.

    That is my thought, too. In the last 6 weeks it happens 3 times to me, that i was unable to play, because of Steam or unexpected Server-Downs...and i am ESO+ NOT Over Steam but my Account is linked to it, because i bought it first ther. I bought Morrowind, i bought Summerset over PayPal direct from here AND all DLC, for Crowns i got due to my now more as 24 month ESO+ Membership.

    So...

    who is to blame ? Who tames who ? Is Valve just doing his thing ? Or is ZOS just to lazy, to react ?

    I think many of you are exaggerating. I've logged in almost daily since February and this is the first time I've seen something like this outside of a planned maintenance update. In other words, don't be so gloom and doom. Crap happens.

    I can get in with a direct to app link; just was able to log in with the launcher.

    I really hate steam and will never buy a mainstream game from them again. if there is something rare or hard-to-get, maybe, but they are so proprietary and grabby of all your data...not worth it. they likely sell your info, too. they re-arrange your settings and refuse to allow you to re-assign and add a bunch of worthless crap. I. hate. steam.

    hope everyone gets to play sooner than later.

    What? What a ***. This is fifth "cant loggin" crap in this year I can remember. lol And the last one was 2-3 weeks ago.

    Come on ZOS ... .time to give us an OFFICIAL update on what is wrong and when you expect to have it fixed.
    I Accept that technical issues happen. What I wont accept is a total lack of communication from you.
    Whether paying customer or free we all deserve to be kept in the loop.

    It would be irresponsible to send so many people to an event that it would create neglect on their properties. There's no way that many Beth staff are at E3. It's more about a lot of Valve staff went at E3, and the ESO folks are trying to reach out to Valve to resolve the issue.

    According to Twitter Gina is there. I assume most of the CM team are there too.

    I'm aware of E3 and day of the week, but it's still unacceptable. It's a weekend, and I'm sure, many people had plans in TESO this evening. They should give us something because of this trouble; Crowns giveaway, for example.

    The highest ranked (and possibly best) members get to go to E3, but far from the entire team - and that's for any company. E3 does not hinder ZOS from giving us an update. That's a choice.

    Granted it is Saturday (even Sunday where they're technicians are), but If they have a 24/7/365 operation they should be better at finding and fixing these kinds of problem.
