how can you dodge a dot?? that makes zero sense. i shoot someone with a fire balista and the next thing i see is the sucker cloaks and somehow he can dodge the already active dot..............HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN ZOS??? this game is getting to be rediculous with how some of this nondodgeable damage is somehow dodgeable.

How does a damage shield absorb bleed damage? Pretty confident it's you bleeding, not your damage shield. This needs to be changed.

I find it more concerning that you can apply a 6k+ per second dot from 50 meters away but you do you.

so a balista bolt the size of your torso hitting you while on fire doing just 3-5 k raw and maybe if your lucky a 6k dot tick per second unless its cold fire. how is that a issue a siege weapon should hit harder than anything we have cause its litterally anti humanoid. but to be able to just cloak and gain 100% dodge chance to a already active dot is a exploit not a feature. cause as far as i know cloak doesnt remove that effect. so yea you shouldnt be able to dodge a already active dot just by cloaking.

Should be the other way around. DoTs should break cloak like in EVERY OTHER GAME. Not sure why ZOS decided to make it that you don't take damage while cloaked. Makes absolutely no sense.

    Shadowy Disguise
    Cast Time Instant (2.5s)
    Range Self
    Cost 3780 Magicka
Cloak yourself in shadow to become invisible for 2.5 seconds.

Your next attack within 3 seconds will always be a Critical Strike.

Guarantees a Critical Strike on your next attack.

You see anything in there about suppressing all DOT's? It does not suppress all DOT's. Even if the DOT doesn't break their stealth it's still ticking on them.

which shouldnt happen its a dot if you dont dodge it to begin with you shouldnt get free dodge just cause your cloaked thats a cop out broken exploit.

I know it does because ZoS spaghetti code doesn't allow for a player to take damage and stealth not being broken. Hence cloak provides a 100% dodge chance against all dots.

It has been like that since they removed the purge from dark cloak.

EDIT: 100% dodge chance against DOTs is basically the same thing as suppressing them. It just explains why it says "Dodged"

Shadow Cloak: This ability and its morphs will now suppress damage over time effects that are already applied to the caster while the invisibility is active.
The damage over time will remain, but will tick for 0 damage if you are invisible, and will tick for the normal damage if you come out of invisibility.

that was changed so long ago because of this issue dots shouldnt be suppressed just cause you can cloak.

a dot should be purely 150% undodgeable dodge chance or cloak neither one should be able to dodge it

This is true. So any DoTs applied to an un-shielded opponent should ignore any damage shields applied afterwards, and on that note any DoTs applied to the shield should disappear with the shield. This may actually be a buff for damage shields, but it's more logical so it pleases me.

Let's get this straight.... This community would never be happy with nightblades unless....

A.) They had 0 heals, even overtime
    B.) No stealth Mechanic whatsoever
C.) Still Remained as Squishy as they are, dying in 3 hits to everything
D.) Have no damage at all.
E.) Get removed from the game

    Bonus
F.) There is no other class to complain about after that.

(For dummies: NBs compensate their ultra squishiness with cloak, their damage is blown out of proportion for ganking because if they step on the frontline for 1 second they get toasted. How else would you want them to play the game? Oh yeah i said it already... at point E)

There are literally dozens of counters to NBs. NBs themselves if you party up with them can keep other NBs out of cloak for 30 seconds unless purged.

Here... let me list it all for you:

    ) Flares
    ) Magelight
    )Fighters Guild Hunter + Morphs
    )NB Piercing Mark Morph
    )Whirlwind + Morphs
    )Cleave + Morphs
)Arrow Spray + Morphs (Bombard is insanely OP vs cloak just FYI)
    )Wall of Elements + Morphs
    )Dawnbreaker + Morphs
    )Destro Staff Ult
)Several Classes AoE Ults (Standart, Leap etc.)
)Soul Strike/Assault - cannot be dodged or broken afaik
    )Path of Darkness + Morphs
    )Fear and other AOE CCs
    )Drain Power + Morphs
)Defensive Rune (Doesnt reveal but can completely destroy a gank attempt)
    )Daedric Mines + Morphs
)Meteor + Fury/Mage's Wrath (if hit as nearby target)
)Hurricane (Not sure if Mag morph does)
    )Fiery Breath + Morphs
)(Have not tested Inferno - possible counter again)
    )Voaltile Armor
    )Inhale + Morphs
    )Radial Sweep + Morphs
    )Puncturing Strikes + Morphs
    )Spear Shards + Morphs
)Any other Ground AoE I forgot or missed

    )Detection Potions**
    )Siege Weapons***
    Etc. etc.

    **= Situational
***= Initial Hits or Ground AoEs only.

Idk what else to say man... L2P? Or do you need your hand held some more?
