1.01 Patch Download (ISSUE WITH LAUNCHER AFTER DOWNLOADING)
Don't know if I'll be the only one with this issue... but after downloading the 1.01 Patch just moments ago... The game client will no longer launch when hitting play... Yes I've restarted my computer as well... Please look into this issue.

GrundelWolfe✭✭Mine hung up on "applying patch" after downloading the first leg. Then said it needed to repair. I closed it out, and restarted the launcher, and its downloading the same 700 some odd MB's that I already downloaded...1 -

Yeah, my issue came after it downloaded and installed... Now whenever I hit play.. absolutely nothing happens.. I also went and tracked down the "ESO.exe" file manually to bypass the launcher and it still won't launch the game. Oh and yes I restarted my computer as I mentioned above with no luck.0 -

I am having the same issue. I hit play, nothing happens. I noticed it said 'initializing' to the left instead of 'complete', so I repaired, and then it said 'complete', but still when I hit play nothing happened. Now it says 'initializing' again (but the loading bar is empty, I downloaded the patch, just cant proceed past the PLAY button).
My wife's computer downloaded the patch just fine and is able to get to the login screen but cant go further because the server is down. Hers says 'complete' to the left of the play button like normal.

Try Running as Administrator & or Disabling Anti-Virus while you launch it.. That worked for me..0 -
PanifexSoul ShrivenMy Launcher only gives me the option to Install (this is on a Mac, if that makes a difference). When I click Install, I get this error: "Error 104 - DownloadError_NotEnoughSpace Not enough disk space, please clear up 60GB and try again"
- I have more than 60GB free
- The game was already installed and I was playing it up until the server was taken offline, so it shouldn't be asking to install
- Clicking Repair does not do anything, and I have rebooted0 -
I downloaded the patch fine but my husband's is stuck about halfway through downloading the patch, and he cannot stop it, reset it, etc. He also can't repair.. What to do..

I tried allowing my anti-virus software to run again.. and just "Running as Administrator" This did not work.. looks like the only way I'll be able to play right now is if I leave my anti-virus software disabled.

PanifexSoul ShrivenWonder what's causing the issue on my Mac that isn't running anti-virus. Since I'm sure it'll be forever before anyone gets back to me about the support request I submitted, I went ahead and deleted the game and am now reinstalling from scratch. And the download is just CRAWLING along (~700 kB/s on my 50+ mb connection). So glad I paid for early access, maybe I'll finally have it downloaded by 4/4.0

Loxy37✭✭✭✭Reason why you are most probably having to disable your AV is that either ESO is seeing your AV as a hack because of how AVs work to detect viruses or your AV is seeing ESOs anti hack feature as a virus and blocking the EXE. What AVs are you all using, the people who disabled and it worked?

I'm having the issue. The patch installed fine but when I hit play it tries to launch with no sucess. I have repaired, restarted, ran as admin. Will not launch game.0

Brother_Numsie✭✭✭Same issue, click on Play and the game will not launch. I've tried running as admin, repaired, checked windows firewall, checked my antivirus, restarted, and prayed to various Aedra and Daedra, no good.1 -

Brother_Numsie✭✭✭Just rescanned my computer (webroot) and am able to get in. Don't know if this is what did it, was trying to log in continuously so it could also be that you just need to keep on trying to get in.
Or a certain Daedric Prince has answered one of my prayers, If I end up on a plane of Oblivion I'll let you know.0
