Exactly, you have to manually claim the rewards each day you log in, if you want to be able to claim the rewards of later days. You can destroy unwanted items immediately though.

    That's hilarious xD

    Thanks for clarifying.

I still don't get it. Can't you just trash the items on any character in any place? The good stuff is added to collection anyways.

But I need to be perfectly clear about this: If I log in every day but don't claim rewards I will not get the upgrade? Like I won't get the crates if I don't claim all the trash?

Okay let's just say this is more of a personal preference. I like to keep things for memento especially one time stuffs, and I also like things to be organized in one go instead of micromanaging stuffs from different types of scenarios, "two birds one stone" per se.

Also yeah pretty much like that. To be clear, step by step this is what I did.
    1. Log in one of my alts, ignoring daily claim
    2. Do their dailies
    3. Log out, ignoring daily claim
    4. Repeat step 1-3
    5. Play my some toon for a while
    6. Forgot that I still haven't claimed my reward
    7. Voila! Timer resets! (next reward still locked)

I just had the same problem. Logged in an alt to do some daily quests, and ignored the log in reward. I then logged in my main to play and the option to claim that daily reward was gone.

Never mind, I was being stupid. It was telling me which log-in reward was available today, however, it's not actually claimable for another 8 hours.

On one occasion I was even online when the next reward became available, and after swithcing to my main I could also claim it without problems.

Same here PC-NA. I thought the scroll might be character bound so I didn't accept the reward on my main.
Did dailies/writs and a few delves. When I finally logged into my low level character I was still able to accept the reward.

I claimed the third reward today but not on the first toon I logged in with.

I am NOT running "No Thank You" or any other add-on that would muck with the pop up on log in.

Maybe they're just confused when it resets? I notice that my reset time doesn't match up with dailies or when you can fence more stuff.

    I dunno.

I log into like 5-6 characters before I claim mine, and haven't had a problem yet.

I think the descriptions are missing an important part: the "glitch" only appears if you did not accept the reward the previous day.

The daily rewards are tied to a countdown timer based on your last login, so if you arrive after that time, the countdown timer uses the current login time, and the reward is locked.

The system is assuming people are accepting their rewards as they log in, so those who decline/forget now have locked items despite being logged in after the "timer" has restarted for the previous day.

I do not accept the daily offerings, and my 2 free chicken dinners have been perpetually locked ever since as my logins have varied the past few days, and each one has been over 24 hours from the previous.

I was more surprised the reward does not change until it's claimed. While I appreciate the offers, I do not wish to claim every prize, so I was only going to accept those I found useful.

Thus, my 2 free chicken dinners will remain available until they're unlocked, which may not happen until this weekend, as I don't see myself logging in before 4pm EST today.

OP is right though. It's stupid that you have to actually claim the reward to make the login count. Wasn't even aware of this nonsense. Thx for hint OP.

One thing I really don't get though. Why would you not claim them with your alts? Are you afraid all the nice poisons and meals and gold will be character bound? xD

Well... I usually play at very high and my alts are in most case are in far-off place hence the amount of time spending in loading screen and traveling time is just too damn long for me to wait. That is why I only claim mails, logins, and other stuff with my main.

Sounds like a perfect use for the mobile banker...I log ALL my characters off in town so I can generate the extra-XP gain (forget the name of the buff). Also, I have set locations I log off at so I know what I need to do the next time I log in with that character.

Log out at the bank - I'm waiting to pick up something from another character
Log out at a crafting station - I have decon or crafting to do
Log out at a daily writ board - I need to pick up writs.
Log out by the refuge - I have stolen loot I need to fence
Log out at a wayshrine - I have nothing to do and am ready to go adventuring.

Keeps everything organized...At least for me.

can you extract these poisons and crap for crown gems? i wont be able to know for another 5 hours when i can claim the poisons

if not i am going to hoard up as many of these poisons, tri restoration potions, and soul gems as i can just to get the sensation that i spent all the rent money on loot boxes.

Or did you "conveniently" removed these popups with addon?

Right now, NoThankYou will reportedly keep generating new alerts until the client crashes, if you don't pull down your reward. Somewhere north of 10k notifications seems to be the limit.

heres how i fixed No, Thank You (courtesy of other users.cant remember your names) read the comment section. look for this one, it should still be at the top

    http://www.esoui.com/downloads/fileinfo.php?id=2008#comments

I suspect this may be an easy fix.
For anyone who *hasn't* accepted the daily reward yet, please test this, since I already accepted it:

Download Circonians LibNotifications from here. Direct download, don't use Minion.
Open the LibNotifications archive & go to the archive's \LibNotification\LibNotification\ folder.
Extract LibNotification.lua into your ...\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\NoThankYou\Libs\LibNotification\ folder, overwriting the existing file.
ReloadUI if you are in game, or fire up ESO & see if the errors persist.

    Thanks.

Not identical but a very similar system has worked really well for me. I can log in, even weeks later, and know what that character is meant to do next.

Trying to understand what problem is being reported here, but are you saying you can no longer claim a previously-available daily reward after you switch characters?

    @ZOS_GinaBruno

The problem/concern is the feature requires the customer to actually obtain a reward to move to the next reward.
It's not a daily log in tracking event, its actually a acceptance of item tracking situation. I'd argue that is very different, so perhaps the program should say, for each reward you obtain, this makes you eligible for a new reward after 24 hours.....add in more logic if no changes will occur.

The problem as described makes this unclear as most other daily log-in opportunities in other games, allow you to grab an accumulation of things over the days you logged in without the need to grab one thing each day and wait.

Basically its the same complaint many of us had about hirelings, where you don't actually get items each day, you only get items if you log in.

You couldn't extract gems from the experience scroll, so I'd assume that you can't extract gems from any of the rewards.

Good day Gina, thanks for taking notice. I believe NewBlacksmurf and Violynne explained it better than mine and it's exactly how they have said.

First time it occurred I thought it was my fault and maybe I've already claimed it and deleted it along with one of my toons to make way for a new one but after waiting for the timer, it was claimable again. This happened in my first reward which is the xp scroll.

As I have said previously, I just prefer "two birds in one stone." I have already explained this numerous times because it's my way of quality of life, disruption is just not a good thing until I log in my main toon. Even if let's say, I ignored a reward, it should still be claimable until I decide to claim it but what happened is, I was punished for ignoring my daily reward that it became non-claimable later on until the next day it unlocks making my log-in useless and not counted.

PC -NA here and haven't seen this issue, but I have claimed my reward as soon as I login (or as soon as it notified available if I was already online).

Am I understanding that if you don't claim the reward within 24 hours of it becoming available it will lock again and a new timer starts?

ie. first reward is available and you claim it and the timer says next reward in 24 hours
after 24 hours pass you log in, see the reward available but do NOT claim it.

    What happens next?
Does this reward remain available for claiming until the calendar resets? or does it re-lock for some strange reason and start a new timer?

edit: I would like to know if it is timing from reward collection to reward collection, rather than acknowledging that you logged in within the 24 hours and making the reward available once conditions are met.

Yesterday when I logged in I discovered I had forgot to claim my rewards from the prior day. So I just claimed the rewards that were available to me at the time and then a short while later I logged off and onto another character and at that point I was able to claim my other reward and get caught up. Really the time between collecting daily reward I missed and getting the latest one was about 10 minutes.

I am not sure if logging out and into a new character just lined up perfectly with the rewards timer or if this is a quick way to get caught up.

If you ignore multiple times for long duration and log in multiple toons several times, the rewards will become irredeemable. The game will think that you've already claimed the reward but will not progress through the next reward when it becomes available again instead, claim reward is still stuck at the one's you've ignored previously. This is what happened on my end and to some ppl as stated in the previous comments.

This is stupid! Happened twice now before I knew what was going on. I've been playing everyday since the daily log in was introduced but just so happens that I'm doing dailies with my other toons and forgot to claim my reward on my main toon since I'm too lazy to go to bank and don't want to risk claiming it with my alts.

Daily Rewards should go straight to inventory or mail upon log in!

I think having the daily log in rewards as mail items would be for the best.

Is there a display bug here? I'm just starting to use keyboard and mouse more but can't get to the daily rewards page unless I'm logging out (and maybe logging in too). For those of you that don't know : on gamepad mode you simply open up the menu, click on crown store then there's a daily rewards tab that you can click on whenever you want.

On the keyboard and mouse mode though if I click before logging out it also opens up that page, and it has tabs on the top. I think it was : crown store - eso plus - daily rewards + something else. Once I click back out though those two last tabs disappear. Why not just leave them there all the time?

And yeah I guess this is a bit of a thread necro too, but it's related and could help a few people be able to check their rewards instead of forgetting/triggering a day being greyed out at the end. i say display bug because after I'd clicked back off the rewards page and clicked on the other options left (crown store/crown crates - eso plus) I saw the rewards tab and the other flickering on and off the page.

Trying to understand what problem is being reported here, but are you saying you can no longer claim a previously-available daily reward after you switch characters?

Yes. This happened to me I realized after reading this. About four days ago I logged into an EU toon and didn't claim the daily reward. Instead I logged out and into a different toon and when I pulled up the daily reward it apparently had its timer reset as it still showed 23+ hours till available. This doesn't always happen though, it seems a bit random, but I will def claim the reward right off no matter what toon I log into. Sucks though because now my EU toons are a day "behind" and I won't get the final log in reward.

Just to update on my tab issue from a couple of posts back : looks like it was bugged, after logging back in all four tabs (think it was : store - eso plus - rewards - gift inventory) are showing.

edit : it could be because switching between gamepad and keyboard/mouse mode sometimes causes display errors.
