Psijic questline is the worst questline in the game

Title says it all. Fetch and retreive quests that take hours and the maps arent even accurate. Unenjoyment level 10/10 cause I cant even focus on a story inbettwen hours of running around tamirel.

Anyone else feel like its a shame Zenimax did this to thier big DLC questline? I really wish they would have made something better so that I wont dread grinding psijic on alts.

As someone who has enjoyed quests this was a big miss for me.

The most powerful mage organization was reduced to a fetch quest. Only 5 minutes of actual non fetch gameplay

Yep. They really hyped getting to join the guild for the first time ever. Now i see why lol. No one would join a guild that makes u run around the world

Seriously this was such a let down and shouldn't have been added yet. This could of been a really cool dlc but it feels like a throw in so they can call it a "chapter". At least for a year... lol

Yeah I don't like having to go between worlds to turn in quests. Just seems tedious.

Dont get me wrong i like grind and working for things in game to, but this kind of grind is just boaring... uninteresting... stale.. repeditive.. antagonizing???

Compared to say grinding out gear from a dungeon, or grinding out pvp ranks, or grinding out vmsa. These are achiements where the grind itself is enjoyable for people.

The main questline had nothing to do with the fetch quests. That quest is just to level the psijic skill line. You in a rush to unlock those skills? I didnt see much story in that.

No different than mages guild..a quest line and then hunting all over the game world searching for books.
Maybe don't focus on finishing it so quick and then it won't feel so grindy.

I don't miss more quest at the moment, Summerset has plenty. I actually enjoy returning to world with psijiic fetch quests, it's been nostalgic and carefree.

And Auger is funny companion.

I didn't hate it. The maps could have been more accurate and the Auger's range could have been more consistent. Also, there could have been more active stuff between the fetch quests.

But I didn't hate it. And I got a bunch of resources from all the wandering around I did.

I like it. After the first char, it takes me one evening to level another to 10. It was dissapointing the first go but I much prefer it for all the repeats of getting 15 chars levelled.

If you're objective is just to level the skill line, any story won't matter.

If you're objective is to enjoy the quests, then it becomes subjective. I enjoyed the entire run the first time because of the story and in anticipation of how it will end. I also liked that the maps were not that accurate because it added to a level of challenge, though I did almost smash my keyboard because of whoever made those maps.

The challenging part for me was figuring out the locations and I enjoyed that little drama with Josajeh (can't recall the spelling).

The big quest line for me was the Summerset story line with Nocturnal, et al. I still can't accept how it went but I enjoyed it. Sad to say one of the characters I liked at the beginning of this game sacrificed himself. It was a little emotional for me.

The other quests that I enjoyed was the story of the twins and that twisted love story that involved a serial killer.

I just love it! Some breaches are a little bit tricky to find, but I enjoy so much thoses scavenging quests (searching by myself, oc, no guides at all)

Personally I dont mind it that much, the Mages or Fighters guild progression was more of a grind.

On my way to the portals I look out for chests so I have jewelry to decon.

Ive maxed out 2 chars atm, the second only took me 2,5 hours.

The first time was fun, each breach was a little puzzle.
The other times it was fast.

Mages quild was worse, but Psijic quild comes close.
I did it once, and now I HATE doing it with more than one character.
ZOS, please end the braindead grinding in your game.

I agree. Time Stop sucks, running around closing portal to level a skillline isn't fun or interesting, and most everyone I have talked to has said "Shoot me". This could have been a much better expansion but it really wasnt.

and yet STILL beats the Mage's Guild questline. I actually completed it in a day. Took maybe 2 1/2 hours...

Compared to the other guilds its a real kick in the pants, it's as if they had something else to add in this chapter and then 3 months out said yeah nah lets add that later and we will knock up the guild questline and throw some skills in, it feels very rushed definitely nothing like the current Summerset Quest content.

Same goes for the recent Trials, they feel very rushed. I preferred the days of Craglorn with epic 3 hour journey dungeons(Shada's Tear) and long story driven Trials. I feel this will not change with the current model as they need a Chapter every year.

It was horrible.

What is annoying me is I was thinking of starting to a new character but the thought of doing mages guild, fighters guild Undaunted and now Psijic Order its really putting me off now.

I disagree, I enjoyed the change of pace...it was easy and relaxing...only those people trying to grind through it as fast as possible have any gripes about it.

I just combined it with collecting mats and doing writ surveys. My little skull buddy is very entertaining!

And they've put that talking skull inside our inventories to "entertain" us while we are doing brainless portal grind. Pathetic.
