So I purchased the physical collectors edition of Summerset, and it came in the mail today. I’m trying to figure out, regarding the statue, how tf do I get her staff into her hand without breaking her hand or the staff? I can’t wrap my brain around the physics of it.

Pry her hand open a little using a fingernail or something else firm (but not sharp) and pop the staff in. You should be able to open it just enough.

I used pincers to pry her hand open and put in the staff.

"I am a nightblade. Blending the disciplines of the stealthy agent and subtle wizard, I move unseen and undetected, foil locks and traps, and teleport to safety when threatened, or strike like a viper from ambush. The College of Illusion hides me and fuddles or pacifies my opponents. The College of Mysticism detects my object, reflects and dispels enemy spells, and makes good my escape. The key to a nightblade's success is avoidance, by spell or by stealth; with these skills, all things are possible."

Place the staff at the opening of her hand.

ROLL the staff into her hand. Don't try to snap it in, otherwise you'll break her fingers off (and she won't like that one bit).

I deal with anime figures often, so I've picked up a few tips and tricks.

If this doesn't work, supply me a picture of the statue. I've other techniques.

You shouldn't have to open it more than a teeny tiny bit. Rolling should work as well ,as Violynne said, but I was able to get her fingers open a millimeter or two to get her to hold it. She's made of firm but not super rigid material so as long as you're not yanking on her hand/ignoring obvious strain, it shouldn't break. But I make no assurances for quality control. :p

The fingers and thumb are slightly flexible, if you start just up from the bottom of the staff and carefully push it in, you should be fine

that is the critical part, just go slow and steady and gentle.
and Try heating up her hand with a hair dryer, might help her adjust easier.
oh and dont forget, it is B.O.E.
bind on equip so make sure is perfect fit before let go.

I really wish I had bought that =(

I came from console to PC though so I didn't want to wait to play, and I didn't want to buy it twice. I'm jealous of everyone's statues.

I figured this grip was the case. I see it all the time.

Okay, this will be sort of hard to describe in text, but you can easily insert/remove the staff IF YOU DO NOT PUT IT IN VERTICALLY!

Instead, you'll need to insert it horizontally (albeit a slight angle). Put the staff on the hand, where you want it positioned, as though she's trying to balance it ON her hand.

Once you see the staff lie this way, you'll probably see where this is going next. ROLL the staff between her THUMB and opening while GENTLY pushing the staff into place.

As you roll it into place, it will go from horizontal to vertical by itself.

As the staff straightens out, take your thumb and gently push the staff into the grip. Don't worry about applying a bit of pressure here, because the staff is designed to be snug.

You should also see the staff is no longer a threat to the thumb, if done correctly.

You may hear a "snap" of the staff resting in its position (though I usually don't hear one myself).

Should you decide to remove the staff, do the opposite by pushing on the staff, with your thumb, as close to the grip as possible. This will pop out the staff, and you simply guide it back out from the grip.

    :)
