    The game before the patch works, keep saying that the problem is TIM, the problem is ZOS !!! They have to solve the problem, not us, already 24 hours have passed, so dear Gina Bruno the words are beautiful but the facts when ???

    Nope it's not, I played last night. I downloaded and briefly played the new patch today.
    Nothing wrong. I simply don't have TIM.

    I had already tried to enter the google dns , but is possible only on devices ....telecom fiber router is blocked ...

    Welll, apparently what's making the miracle is the MTU set to Manuale 1473.
    I'm pretty sure all the guildmates who had issues already had the google DNS setting

    netsh int ipv4 show subinterface
    netsh int ipv4 set subinterface "Local Area Connection" mtu=1473 store=persistent
    the problem is mtu=1500 change to 1473 or 1480 and enjoy

    wow.. i just changed the mtu in my router and it works now
    could any tech guy provide an explanation to this? i can't understand why it fixes just changing mtu and especially what happens with mtu 1473 for the rest of the internet usage?

    MTU is dependent on the type of connection ..

    your provider will tell you which ones to set, and set them already.

    MTU means Maximum Transmission Unit. It's basically your standard packet size. That's also the reason why the PPPoE protocol works, it changes the MTU size from the default 1500 bytes to 1492 bytes, if I remember correctly.

    Generally it's better if it's higher, as you don't have to send a larger amount of packet headers (not representing any data important to you) thus improving the data throughput, but it seems like the faulty node filters larger frames or simply they get routed elsewhere by TIM.

    Italy, TIM, same issue. My MTU is already 1480 but still nothing works, can't login on Xbox. (btw I have not even found how to manually change my MTU on the router page). no other problems with internet connection quality: just can't play Summerset... so sad, please fix soon!

    I can confirm that a change of the MTU size fixed the problem for me. I set mine to 1472 and i was able to download the patch and login

    from the MS-DOS Prompt or the Windows Power Shell:


    C:\Users\MANDRICUS>netsh interface ipv4 show subinterface

    MTU Stato Media Sense Byte in ingresso Byte in uscita Interfaccia
    4294967295 1 0 41269 Loopback Pseudo-Interface 1
    1500 1 52473238 1924650 Connessione alla rete locale (LAN)

    Thank you for the MTU fix, I gave it a try as soon as I got back from work and it worked, I could update the client and launch the game.

    Then I set it back to its original size once Telecom fixed the issue.

    I am curious though as to why smaller sized packet headers were correctly routed, while bigger ones were routed in a different way (this is just curiosity, to learn something new).

    So, we're back in game, good (well, I'm back at work :) )

    To change the MTU you need to these steps:

    1) Open command prompt (Run as administrator)
    2) Type netsh interface ipv4 show subinterface
    3) Press Enter.

    You will see a list of network interfaces.

    4) Type netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface “Local Area Connection” mtu=1458 store=persistent

    You should replace Local Area Connection with the name that appeared in the “Interface” column from steps 2-3.

    5) Press Enter
    6) Restart you computer

    Welp, even as administrator it won't let me change the MTU (I'm on Windows 10) and I'm stuck either on the launcher loading screen or Repairing 0%. No way to get into the game.
