I tried again this morning before going to work, same problem as yesterday: launcher stuck on "Loading", nothing happens, nothing moves, no "Play" button.

I tried Tunnel Bear as someone suggested, and I was able to update the launcher and download the patch from yesterday's update; I turned off the VPN once the launcher finished updating, and back on my usual connection I ran ESO64.exe directly to see if the problem was fixed; the games starts and I get to the login screen, which says "Could not retrieve announcements" and gives me the same error everybody gets.

On a side note, I am on Telecom 20Mbit (TIM Smart), not on fiber, and I am connected to the router through an Ethernet cable.

I am not using the white TIM Smart router, I am using a NetGear DGN2200, and I set it to use OpenDNS.

Now, it would be nice to know if Telecom did some changes on the routing that are blocking us or if it's somehow an issue on Zenimax or Akamai.

It'll be somewhere between Telecom and Akamai. Routing, a bad switch or link, something like that ...

Vi consiglio vivamente TunnelBear come riportato in qualche post precedente. It's ridicolous I can't play a game without a Vpn but it seems it's a telecom problem and not Zos.

@ZOS_GinaBruno i know no one cares of italy and that you are all busy with summerset launch on console but could we get some tech support so that as someone has stated we can provide details to our isp? telecom is the main isp of italy , it's a lot of ppl.

Since it might be a very specific issue on Telecom's side, I suggest anyone with this problem to write a private message on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/TimOfficialPage/

It's a bit easier than going through the call center labyrinth and if they get many reportings maybe there's a chance they could solve this problem faster.

Hello again, standing to what this website reports (well, the comments more than the website itself) it seems like there are issues reaching German and French websites or IP in general for Telecom Italia users:

Is it possible to know which are the hosts involved in the download and login process? This would help us to solve the issue, giving to our ISP a clear idea of where the routing problems are.

I'm not able to check on my pc now, since i'm at work. Can somebody please start the launcher, open an ms-dos prompt and check if using "netstat -b" is able to see which are the hosts that the process "launcher.exe" is trying to connect to?

Odd that I'm not affected then as I usually go through Frankfurt (from Southern Germany). Eh, I might have a look at my trace.

Hasn't there been some really horrible weather in northern Italy the past few days? Lots of flooding and such? Maybe that's the problem?

You can temporarily use a PPPoE connection to bypass the problem. Check how to set it up here: https://assistenzatecnica.tim.it/at/portals/assistenzatecnica.portal?_nfpb=true&nodeId=/AT_REPOSITORY/874038#874038
