I'd rather talk for a second about how lazy the designers are.

Just sticking a mane around an existing, and current, mount an rebadging it as something new is just plain lazy.

What next ?

Sticking a false horn on a normal horse and calling it a Unicorn............... oh wait, they did that already.

The Nightmare Senche mount was itself a reskin of the Dro'mathra Senche mount so... you know. It's the Zenimax way.

the original nightmare courser is the main Mehrunes Dagon mount not that stupid ugly looking reskinned senche that makes absolutely no sense and has NOTHING to do with Summerset

Well I'm glad I preordered, I got free stuff that you'll probably have to pay for in some future crown store purchase if you want it and if someone has full intention of playing Summerset then not preordering just shafts yourself outta said free stuff.

I have no issue with this new mount, I collect senche and lion mounts so I'll be getting this too.

mine isn't devalued at all. Can we also take another second and realize this is just another complain thread on general forums along with all the other complain threads about nothing.

Yeah I agree with you. Zos pulled a good one, but are you surprised? I atleast have the griffon pet, but expect to see a better version in the store this month.

I know its popular on these forums to hate almost every cosmetic Zenimax adds to the game (whether its characters or motifs or crown store items), but how is your value being decreased exactly? For many people, preordering this expansion gave them a free mount. Which, when you haven't been playing ESO all that long and don't have much gold, is quite a nice item to have. Furthermore, the mount was given to you simply for pre-ordering any of the editions. For free. You simply had to submit an order. I have to wonder what kind of world we're living in where even the stuff we're being given at absolutely no extra cost to ourselves is supposed to be as great as things we purchase with hard-earned money. I would love to go to this magical place where people are given the best products for free and then are never motivated to spend money at all. What does this place look like? Is it daedric? It would have to be, wouldn't it?

I didn't have to just submit an order. They took the full amount from my account when I pre ordered last month. That being said, I don't think the issue is about the mount itself. It's just bad timing putting it in the crown store. It's kind of a slap to the face for those that did pre order. I mean the game isn't even up yet on console, but it's being promoted Aready. They should have waited a reasonable amount of time to release this upgraded version of the senche to avoid backlash. Surely Zos knew what the reaction would be to this. I don't mind buying it. I spend tons of money in the crown store for stuff and will still do so. It's just sometimes Zos makes bad decisions with their marketing techniques.

I assumed it was obvious when I said "order" that money would be coming from someone's bank account. My mistake. I contend that this isn't a slap in the face at all. Its, "See, we gave you this unbearded fiery cat mount at no extra cost to you as well as the expansion. Because you're a loyal customer and preordered, you'll have this mount when others who were not loyal and did not preorder will not even though they'll get access to the same expansion you do. If you spend some more money, hey, we'll be happy to upgrade the free unbearded fiery cat mount into a bearded fiery cat mount." The only way giving something to someone for free is a slap in the face of the customer is if they turn around and give everyone who did not preorder the game a bearded fiery cat mount. You got a limited edition preorder mount which (as of this writing) is exclusive to Summerset. Bearded-Fiery-Cat-Lord-of-The-Jungle-Ruler-Of-All-Tamriel is available to everyone. In my humble and very personal opinion, neither mount is particularly amazing for the sheer fact that everyone, their Mother, their friend's Mother, their nextdoor neighbor's Mother, and my Mother will be riding it because its so easily obtainable.

Maybe you didn't understand me. I said it was the "timing" of the introduction of the mount to the crown store. Either way, I will still be riding my Dro-M'othra and consider it to be the best looking cat in the game, but that is just my opinion. Funny thing is, they reward the player more for not buying the dlc but spending money in the crown store instead.

It's not free if you paid for it

but.. we payed for early acess to summerset. mount and pet are just bonus (well.. ok, pet cost a bit extra, but I'm assuming people buying digital collectors, didn't just buy it for the pet and even then - cost equalizes) I wanted physical statue and book in addition to acess to summerset, so everything else was a nice bonus. would have gotten it regardless.

I don't mind to be honest.

I prefer the pre-order bonus senche, I don't really like the manelord model, and it doesn't bother me that they are offering a similar look to all players.

That said my go to mount is the senche-leopard , I love this mount so much.

At least you were able to get an additional mount for the preorder.

We got extra stuff for preordering and the price didn’t change after the promotion ended. The preorder items were free for early-birds.
