The most useful PC Add-ons should be made part of the base game

I'm hesitant on the add ons part because of various reasons. I believe it would take away certain aspects that add a great mystery to this game, and add some things that would normally be revealed to not be having a forever shadow cased over them. Stuff like finding certain items from certain things that some would just bs farm at without knowing of areas they could make more money from. It would put a damper on certain things that are already not commonly farmed. I am both resistant and wanting add ons. Maybe for some there could be good for, but at the same time I think it is bad either way.

UI addons should be looked into. It is silly to argue against it.

The addons basically make it so I will always find a better deal than a player who doesn't run Awesome Guild Store. So either two things need to happen:

    Gets removed from game
    Gets implemented into the game

I bet a lot of these guys against it run it anyway.

Adding KB/M support for Consoles would be really bad as it would give those players an enormous advantage in PvP as you can turn/react way faster then using a gamepad.

But that doesn’t excuse the negligence ZOS gives the gamepad UI. That last big feature we got were the buff trackers and they implemented them so badly that hardly anyone ever uses them. The update we will most likely get with Summerset is ... wait for it ... crafted set stations default now to the crafted set. Wow, a feature that KB/M had for ages while ignoring all and any ideas or requests like remapping of controls or search options for traders, etc etc.
This just shows important Console player are for ZOS (obviously not very much)

If there is an addon that a majority of players find to be mandatory after their first playthrough, it should be a game feature. What it "does to the addon community" is irrelevant. A game that requires addons to make it sufficiently playable is not a finished game.

Not sure if pc has this add on I've never heard it discussed but the only add on console actually needs is a mini map on the HUD that rotates as you change direction ... So you don't have to keep opening the damn main map

Totally agree. Currently, the only addons I use are the minimap and TTC.

This minimap doesn't rotate, but it's still very useful. TTC I just use to know if I've found something that is worthwhile to sell to a player, or if I want to buy something and know if I'm being ripped off. I might get something that is worth 9g to a merchant, but worth 80k to a player.

I used to run Destinations, mainly for finding WW and vamp shrines, also for finding mage's guild books.

Some people actually look and hunt for the skyshards and lorebooks, and not just run quickly and get them. The excitement of finding a skyshard and telling your friends so you can all have it is fun. Having things already there is kinda meh for the adventure aspect of the game..

I have yet to encounter an addon that is useful in this game.
As long as it is an optional feature, im fine with ZOS implementing it.

I don't know about addons, I don't use any except for Dress Room and Map Pins and still be able to do vet dungeons/trials and their HMs. In my opinion most of the addons distract and the "base" UI delivers all the information you need. Anyways, I would like to see skill and equipment organizer in the base game, also an ingame guild planner for events, dungeons and trials would be also nice.

I migrated from console to PC just over a year ago...nine maxed out characters...almost eight hundred CP...Two years of grind and toxic community! So I started again on PC and I have loved every minute of the grind...the community seems friendlier but there are still toxic people on PC...The one thing that hasn't changed for the better is ZOS, screwing people over since 2014...

In short OP (offended player) stop your whining and grind that PC into the dirt!

Simple console to pc transfer. I would real pay money for this. Been playing since the game came out on PS4. I do not want to start over so let us transfer. I know it can be done ZOS just has to allow for it.

Every consider that maybe PC lobbyist are already giving games a kick back for keeping their version on the front shelf?
They can afford to pay more real money then you.

the only "mod" that should be allowed to be base game is improving the guild store experience. if you are dead set on forcing people to spend half their time going through menu's instead of actually finding what they want. make it smoother.
PLEASE REPLY TO ME WITH @dsalter otherwise i'm likely to miss the reply if its not my own thread

The main purpose of the "Clean UI" for ESO was to involve players in customising and extending the UI in ways most useful to the player base.

It is also a well known fact in software systems the UI is the main point of contention and as each user is in fact an individual there is never going to be just oner right way.

For ESO, I believe it was smart to move this complex subject off in to the player domain.

One instance of recent note was the ESO introduction of item locking.

This was and still is a very popular feature available through an addon however ESO only introduced some of the item controls so in effect people (myself included) continue using this addon where it now disables these "new" controls introduced by ESO.

Just asking for addon features to be introduced into the base game is fine but it needs to be understood that what you may see is not always going to be equal to expectations.

There are dozens of improvements that could be made to the in-game UI, and PC players have add-ons that fix a ton of problems.

They've got things like Skyshard and Lorebook maps, a Skill Point tracker, an add-on that tells them the market values of items they've found, one that makes searching for items in guild traders easier (because there's a million categories to sift through but no search bar), and I'm sure there are just tons more that us console players aren't even aware of.

If ZOS still refuses to allow us to migrate our accounts between systems (no way in hell am I throwing away years of progress and starting all over again over this), then I believe they should put some effort in to ensure that the console players aren't missing out as much. They should take the most popular PC add-ons, and put them into the base game so that everybody has access to them.

Considering that most convenience settings in the game already have on/off toggles, it'd be the height of selfishness if I said '"no" to this merely to keep my console version different when it's most likely that I could just do that with settings. The mod difference isn't a feature, it's a lack if some people want it and can't have it. The versions are not different for that purpose, they're simply different because consoles can't use the PC addons. And some people play console because they don't own a PC, not because they just love not having addon features available.

Well, the game doesn't have a minimap, something that could be considered as a pretty crucial element in any MMO.

I'd say that is a bit of a mis-step on the developer's part.

I played ESO on the PS4 for about a year. I couldn't take the shite performance any longer. Took the plunge and levelled up again on PC. Never been happier.

I should never have started on the PS4 console. Performance and addons on the PC makes the game so much much more enjoyable.

Skyshards and Lorebooks should not be integrated cause they are spoilers. But general UI/UX improvements and long overdue.

    Addons like:
    No, thank you!
    Awesome guildstore
    Advanced filtering
    Dustman
    ... etc

    Should be considered.

I think Skyshard and Lorebook Map Markers should be integrated, but be optional and disabled by default, so that those who like to explore on their own can do so just the same as before.
