Absolutely the moral standards handicapper. If I can beat you with one skill, or one play in Madden, or by smashing 1 button in Street Fighter I will. It’s not that I’m not capable of more, I surely am, but if you’re gonna let me beat you with just page one of my playbook I’m not about to use page 2 let alone anything fancifully skillful.
Proc sets might be annoying but as long as they are performing as designed I see no issue. Everyone has the ability to be OP, so have at it.
Right and I am not saying this is a good thing for PvP, we should all want a system based on skill of the player not on sets carrying players but... If you're trying to win under the current system it's a viable way of doing so.Chilly-McFreeze wrote: »THEDKEXPERIENCE wrote: »Chilly-McFreeze wrote: »Who is the real scrub? I totally understand you and josiahva. And like I said before, I use some proc sets myself.
But let's be honest, sometimes procs really do all the work (especially if you stack 3 of them) and you have nothing to do but to try not do die. I envision a PvP where we all just stand around while watching our procs go off. A little bit decoupled from what's really happening there. If you want to be romantic about it, a 3d strategy game where you simply move your figure and watch him do the rest.

Continue using the sets if you're winning and that's your goal.
As long as you're not exploiting or cheating in ways the game developers didn't intend then everything is fair in PvP, those complaining in whispers have just not moved out of the "scrub* mentality" as per link below.
I used to be the same, complain about cheap builds in games, how play by a moral code etc. then complain when others didn't play by my self determined rules, however if you're playing to win you can't play that way.
This link below is one of the most interesting reads and vastly changed my outlook on competitive gaming. You rarely will see me complain about "cheap moves" now because of it.

On the rare times I get the whispers I enjoy them, especially if you don't answer and the person continues to degrade further and further into incoherent ramblings.

* before this triggers people and gets mass reports then check the link as I reference that material and don't mean scrub in the common derogative sense it's normally used in.

You fell for OP's trap. It's a reverse psychology thread. They don't actually use any proc sets. They created this thread to passively aggressively whine about proc sets.

You can also trigger a melt down right at the end by just saying "u mad bro?", childish but funny.Peekachu99 wrote: »Pro tip: WHEN PVPING SET YOUR STATUS TO OFFLINE.
I haven’t had a a hate whisper in years, unless I’ve been dungeoning and forgot to change my status back.
You’re welcome.
Let's be honest here. If there was a button to give you gear that would make you win every fight and never die...
Everyone would scream remove it.
But everyone would also press it first.
Prove me wrong. This is a stupid discussion. There is no way any human being on this planet would not do such a thing given the opportunity. And If you don't understand what I mean, then you're on your own.
Yep, this is so true lol. But tell me one thing, how could anyone ever win a fight if everyone would have gear that makes them immortal?
