    I believe this you tube poster here has discovered ZOS's intended strategy.

    This boss fight isn't as hard as a lot of people make it out to be. Here is a clip from our run as we we're grinding out the "Leave No Bone Broken" achievement. You have to have some decent DPS, but really it's just about dropping Destros at the right time. https://youtu.be/Biy_IsLNskk

    I sincerely hate this boss after pugging this a few dozen times trying to get a second Caluurion ring. It is basically a dps race, the only sane way to do it is to burn the tiger, preferably so it only jumps once during the fight. Even if the thing gets interrupted (usually requires a ranged interrupt), it takes a few seconds before you're able to move, and in that time a wolf walks up to you and blows you up anyway.

    As tank I've tried a number of tactics to make this work with less than awesome dps, with horrible results every time.

    The last boss in this dungeon is a really nice fight in comparison, you can do that one even with crappy dd's and it's usually possible to recover from mistakes.

    Tank -> Tank dogs and force trigger their detonation every spawn <No more dogs for DPS to kite now>
    Healer -> Taunt bear and move over guar/tiger
    DPS -> Kill Tiger -> Guar/Bear

    Healer -> Equip range interrupt and stop pounce
    Healer -> Burst heal after pounce

    ***If a pounce is about to happen have *ONE* dps go further out than the tank to get pounced in a set position. You can basically interrupt the pounce as soon as it lands since you know where every single pounce will hit.

    Got multiple no death by tiger, and we don't do insane DPS.

    The bear does almost no damage other than the easiest cleave to dodge. It seems meant to be done that way.

    Okay, how are the other bosses tho? Like Caluurion or Ulfnor or last boss compared to this boss? I do not think it gets any easier? It just seems that people are not really prepared for this dungeon, if the dps is so super low to a point where a fight takes forever.

    Well, as our DPS improved and the fight got to the point, as with yours, that the mechanics are of no consequence. The other bosses are actually easier and posed no issue even when DPS was lowish. It is not the low DPS that kills you directly but the mechanics that are very hard to mitigate against when you go beyond the first Tiger death.

    It's not the worst design by any means and really fun. At least the RNG component is not to bad that it will kill you no matter the skill level. Other DLC places can just be RNG fests - dropping into a portal during last boss on ICP is just poor programming for instance.

    I guess my only point was that a lot of the videos posted for any decent dungeon actually shows how a high DPS, well organised group does a run. They usually skip many mechanics that trip up PUGs or less powerful groups. As a consequence, the "How to" aspect can lead to frustration amongst people not able to DPS race foe.

    We now do Scalecaller and Fang's Lair with no healer just an amazing tank and 3 DPS's. Indeed, no DLC dungeon really needs a healer if the other party members are balanced. Sad situation really and one ZOS is exacerbating by making every class have skills from every other. I truly miss the days of needing a really talented healer that kept everyone alive, buffed the hek out of people, debuffed everything in sight etc.
