And the posts made here will still have the function of representing the opinions of at least some segments of the playerbase to ZoS. I would like more variety to be available whether through new outfit or crown store items, and posts like these present an opportunity to let that be known.
He is not part of the playerbase by his own words. That means he does not really care about the issue other than to get attention.
By replying it is feeding him and nothing else.

✭✭I can't understand how riding the same "flavour of the month" mount, and dragging around the same pet, makes anyone look different from all the others doing the same thing.
Right now, it's all strawberry jello horses, and pet salamanders. Although that flaming senche is still all over the place.
And the simple stuff, like black cats, grey camels, or plain black or white bears, is "limited time only", so you can't even get it in a gamble crate. Why is the gaudy free, and the tasteful priceless?1 -

No, because this thread is open for anyone else to read, including ZoS who sees the sentiments being represented in these thread, and other people who might get the wrong impressions if trolls are allowed to do their trolling unopposed. Besides, where has not feeding the troll got us? a troll infested internet that's where. Simply being silent doesn't help anything, especially when other people are all too willing to do the talking for you. So I would rather speak out and let my opinions be known, especially with something as important as cosmetics.1 -

I present my views in a clear and constructive post. I do not think I was being unreasonable and I did not take a dogmatic stance on any of the issues discussed. I merely stated my personal opinion, am welcome to opposing ones and did not get worked up about it. It's a cosmetic fix and there's larger problems that need to be addressed.
You on the other hand came into my discussion and immediately attempted to discredit my arguments by calling me a troll and by blaming people like me for a hostile, or "troll infested" internet.

I agree, but remember that half the reason players use cosmetics is to show off to other players, so this could kind of negate that, which would be disappointing. However, I also think that could be at least partially offset by letting players pick their preferred "flashy" mount/costume/pet and preferred "normal" mount/costume/pet. That way players could still have some variety in how they appeared to someone with the toggle set a certain way, and maybe even incentivize players to collect a little bit more, and spice up their collections, instead of just picking one thing and sticking with it (although that could still be an option if it isn't a "flashy" cosmetic). Players who already have a small collection built up wouldn't lose anything, and would even gain a use for all those other mounts they've collected that they never use.@Marginis on PC, Senpai Fluffy on Xbox, Founder of Magicka. I though both of you were accusing me of trolldom, but it seems that was only idk. I just don't get why people call anyone who doesn't share their views a troll, it's just so immature. As I said, I don't think I was offensive or unreasonable and a lot of people agree with me it seems.

✭✭I think some of the troll accusations come from a language issue. When the OP wrote 'I haven't played the game since launch', that was interpreted as 'I played at launch and have not since then'. Whereas I think the OP meant 'I play now, but I wasn't playing at launch'.1 -

Humm. you stated you have not played this game since launch, which you are on PC so that is about 4 years. That was also before all these cosmetics were added to the game so it was not why you left the game.
Being you have no horse in the race and clearly this is not the reason you left there is no reason for you to post other than to stir the pot.I haven't played the game since launch

No, I was simply stating that proclaiming someone a troll and ignoring them isn't helpful in any way. Responding to the position being made is much more useful to the forum atmosphere as a whole.
But back on topic. I don't think its particularly offensive, simply that yes, I understand different people may have different tastes that we don't like. But in attempting to impose our own fashion sense on other people, we should question whether or not we would want ourselves to be imposed a fashion sense we don't like by other people.

Also "obviously if he just return" is grammatically incorrect, seems a little hypocritical that you nitpick other people's wording. One can read whatever they want into something. However, the statement that "I haven't played the game since launch" specifically and only states that you have not played at all since 2014.
Nothing more and nothing less. Certainly no hypocrisy in reading the sentence correctly.

RubyWarfare✭✭✭I disagree that everyone running around in undyed Breton armor and riding nothing but brown or white horses makes the game more beautiful. Especially since the horses look so derpy. On the contrary nothing but plain undyed armor and basic horses sounds oppressively drab. I like that there are a variety of mounts and costumes to choose from and that people can put together outfits now. Yes, some people go too far and make garish outfits, but then again in real life you have people who wear garish clothing. Where things get a bit too flashy for my own personal taste are the skins. Lava people, zombie people, so on, but even so if that makes people happy, who am I to argue? Most people like to look and feel special. I like to dress my characters in bright jewel tones because I love the colors and ride senches because I hate the way horses look and I love cats.
