I've been there in beta and had a blast attacking the various enemy encampments etc. When I read your post my take is not the issue that you are at a disadvantage or something else, you are taking issue that you can no longer rake in xp as quickly as before in real world time.Bunzaga_ESO wrote: »@auric_eso If you haven't actually spent a day or two in Cyrodiil, then please don't try defending the current system / fix.
I enjoy PvP as much as the next guy, but I also like to be rewarded for my effort, not just run around for an hour, kill a few people, run around for another hour, kill a few more.
I really don't feel the need to defend what I said. If you don't get it, you haven't actually been to Cyrodiil.

ZOS has said from the beginning that balancing the game was and is very important. You will have your chance for xp just the way everyone else does.
YOU ARE ON THE SAME LEVEL AND OPPORTUNITIES AS EVERYONE ELSE. You are not left in the dust. You are taking issue with the real world time it will take to gain points versus pre-patch.Bunzaga_ESO wrote: »Publius_Scipio wrote: »Your insatiable thirst for xp is what is clouding your judgement. I'm talking about the currency to purchase siege equipment and gear, I don't go to Cyrodiil for 'xp', in fact it is more the opposite, it is an XP sink. You can earn MUCH more xp doing quests outside of Cyrodiil, than you can inside.
Again, please don't come here defending a system you don't have first hand experience with.
How is taking a farm or a castle 'pvp'? I isn't. PvP is when you actually KILL OTHER PLAYERS. Sorry to burst your bubble.
I welcome this change.
Get the quest, teleport to the frontline, "touch" twenty enemy players, repeat as many times you wish: too much of an easy way to collect alliance points and encourages a "farming" mentality.
Sorry for broken english :P

I do the same and while i loved having this quest for the first times, it was kinda becoming my main activity (get to 20/20 so i can finally die and teleport back)...
Group pvpers can get the quest done in 1 minute (for real) and collect thousands and thousands of alliance points a day which makes it kinda silly especially because you dont actually have to "kill" someone, poking at him is enough.

They could always address the issue in a different way. I'm just saying: This was a nice solo style mission, where I didn't need to depend on a large group to earn alliance points. Now I have to join a group and take un-defended structures. Not my idea of a fun 'PvP' time.
Think about it. Don't just blurt out idiotic thoughts, just because the servers are down. Don't project your hate onto me.
Let's just see how things go from here on. Perhaps I'm wrong, and it will be a blast running around for hours with the zerg. I'm just not used to it.

I dont get it. If you liked soloing (like i do) then keep soloing, nothing changes.
You dont have to join the zerg just because they turned a repeatable quest into a daily quest.
