I have an Idea and would it work future content, I'm thinking of guild wars, you select 3 members, each fight is a 1v1 its not best out of 2 its whos still alive at the end, maps are arena like, if one side rage quits the side that did not will automatically win.

I'm not in a guild so... NO.
Anyway you ask for organized duels right?
We already have duels and even a chat where you can decide the rules.
For the arena... There is an arena near wayrest, an awesome place but nobody use it.

Could be interesting, but it sounds an awful lot like battlegrounds, which are already in the game.

The guild vs guild war I'm more interested in is Cyrodiil, where the organized PVP guilds actually do face off against each other.

    1. Guild war idea
    2. Explained
    3. How it works
    4. Q’able instance
    5. Attacking/defending
    6. Alliances
    7. Leaderboard

Should fight for overland territories (towns, cities, landmarks)
Maybe puts a tax on npc’s and has weekly earnings for the guild based on which location from low to high priority.

Every week for a day the zones open up to be attacked/defended and captured by another rival guild. Multiple flags are created in the towns based on their size and must be captured and held for x minutes before it is fully under your control. This allows guilds to mount counter attacks. When the event ends it will remain under the previous owners control even if they don’t control all flags (I.e. 2 flags are held by guild 1 1 flag by guild 2 and 2 flags by guild 3)

—-You can choose to abandon your old settlement and wage war on a new front with everything you’ve got in hopes of capturing a better location for your guild. But risk leaving your place undefended to potential enemies.

—-Just how we have separate instances already you could make this pvp weekly event instanced for just those involved in the guild wars.

—-A q’able instance that requires you to pick one of your 5 guilds to represent. A cap of 24 players per guild and everyone else is an enemy. You can “invest” your players in different regions or battles.

—Attacking a small settlement caps how many attackers are allowed (depending on size 4-8, medium sized towns 10-16 and large towns and hubs like stormhaven/deshaan/rawl 18-24.

—-You have the ability to spread your forces and commit to different territorial captures and are not limited to how much you can own but make sure you have the forces to defend it all.

—-Alliances between guilds can be formed at the start of each week (allegiances show on a chart) allowing the assistance of a guild with like minded interests to help attack (example rawl with their 18-24 along with your own 18-24) of course the allied guilds cannot share the territory but can come to an agreement to assist the take for one guild in return for assistance in defending/attacking their desired location.

—leaderboards showing accumulated points over the entirety of a month. Larger zone territories are worth more. And there is no limit to how many points you can capture so long as you can defend them. 4 evals/events over the month with a monthly ranking and overall leaderboard (points, alliances, owned locations per guild)

Spawn points work much like cyro towns or the use of camps/gem rez

Just no. There's enough carving up of the game into custom pieces as it is. Learn to fit into what's already there.

In order to balance. 3 must be paired. Meaning, pair the Strongest to the weakest. Then one in between. The strongest will always Win, if not working as a time and or fighting each other. Strongest still win.

There is much latitude Zos can employ in PvP within what we already have.

I also do not think we need to require players to be members of guilds to participate in parts of the game as nothing else in the game requires as much.

I think competitive PvP guilds struggle to find purpose in a game where campaigns don't have any different rewards for losing or winning. I think BG's don't allow you to challenge specific other players and are 3 sided. I think Duels offer a poor judgement of ability seeing as how specific armor sets and classes can directly counter other ones.

Having a guild war system instanced or otherwise would add a level of competition this game hasn't seen in a long time.
Pride in your tabbard might actually mean something to a pvper again if there was a leaderboard he could look at to see his guilds accomplishment. As it stands now, players have a different toon on every faction for cyro, victory is meaningless.

Great idea at least maybe players would be loyal to their guilds.

Except the most basic of all MMO core functions - trading.

I get what your saying. I played a game a long time ago, that was pvp based, had flags that would boost a stat to your whole nation. (10% exp, 5% drop, 10% DMG ect) if your nation owned a flag in base every one got that bonus, in that nation. There were the PvE crowd and the PvP crowed, and often it was the PvP people whole like to raid, but man, I tell you what the PvE crowed, when another nation would try to get a flag especially one that effected PvE, they'd posse up. it was a lot of fun and the PvE and PvPers worked great together.

Maybe a revamp on how Cyrodiil works, such as making a "main" campaign, in which every one gets certain bonuses depending on what territories a nation/guild owns. Maybe the guilds who actually own those territories get a strong bonus...

of course there are other games that allow a guild to own dungeons, and tax said dungeons. They they would have to defend them in weekly raids or something. maybe a new dungeon type that is raidable might be the ticket for this...
