Transmute Crystal Cap: Should it be raised?

Yes! 200 is far too low.
It definitely needs to be raised. I have double the cap just in geodes in my inventory.

I'm almost at a point where I'll change my crafter to a stamplar just to have a reason to use them.

Transmutation is great - but how often do you really need to do it?

At a minimum, the geodes should be able to banked or stored.

Just to speak on behalf of the devs decision for the cap. Generally when you implement something like this. Its a tertiary form of progression to assit in alleviating a grind for a specific item type. To passivley reward you with the currency simply for partaking in activities as you normally would. These were never supposed to be horded or mass farmed.

Obviously that is not how it worked out, since generally speaking, you gain more crystals than you ever generally need, which makes the cap redundant. Increasing the cap makes little difference since you can just hold the geodes so they might as wll increase the cap.

Retraiting was intended to be a longer term ordeal for key items you cant seem to get the right triat on due to poor luck. This is an unpopular opinion but i wouldnt be surprised if the retait cost was increased or the drop quantity of crystals gets reduced before the cap gets increased since that goes against their original goal. Seasoned end game players seldom need to retrait since most of their sets are in order, they are also the main group that aquires the most crystals. So it was inevitable that at some point we will be sitting on more crystals than we will reasonably need at any given time. Couple that with zos not wanting retraiting to become trivial and.... well there you go...

No cap has more logic, but if a cap is needed, 250 should be minimum

Is there a point to this poll? Obviously most would vote yes. But does anyone expect a poll that is meaningless at hit's foundation, not to mention the bias setup by OP, should have any bearing?

Of course not. We all understand Zos knows the polls in these forums are not proper polls.

Dude, it's a simple "yes" or "no" or "don't care poll". "Obvious bias" is a very silly thing to toss out there when it has no effect on the outcome of the poll. The point to the poll is to get an idea as to how many players actually would like the cap to be raised or removed. If the poll were literally biased, I would have made all options actually lean toward "Yes! Raise it!". I did not do that.

    300 would be wonderful.
because when a new "season (lmao more like next cheese...on... you get the idea)" comes around you can tweak 6 items but still cant fully change over so you still have to interact with people.
PLEASE REPLY TO ME WITH @dsalter otherwise i'm likely to miss the reply if its not my own thread

Yes, but a better alternative would be to reduce the cost of changing traits.

Raise it to atleast the amount to change traits on a full set of equipped items

it was designed so you couldnt do that. thats the point of the cap. Yes, its easily bypassed by virtually all means, but the cap is there to stop what you just said you want.

No, the cap is there for a reason, if you have too many, learn how to manage them better, it isn't that hard really. All I see coming of this is less being given out since people have more than they know what to do with. Calling that now.

I'm not to fond of the cap, but i'd rather them increase the amount of them we get from our pledges.

5 from a normal pledge, 10 for a veteran pledge. Now that would make pledges worth running.

And how would you suggest managing them better when they stack up so easily in your inventory? Just waste them transmuting items you won't use?

It should be raised but it shouldn't be too high either. They need to protect the gear grind phase of endgame too keep the longevity of the game - the gear grind being one of the oldest past times of MMOs and reason to do end game content.

None of the above. I care, I'd like to see it increased, but I'm not convinced it should be.
