Transmute Crystal Cap: Should it be raised?

Seems I'm not the only one frustrated by the 200 crystal cap right now. Others seem to be having the same issue of geodes overflowing in their inventory because the cap limit is so low. Just wanted to see the forum community thinks.

I put "200" in there because I'm ESO+ and didn't realize that the cap for non + is 100.

It wouldn't be as bad if the geodes simply stacked in your inventory

I mean, why not? You can already "store" geodes, rewards for the Worthy and the crystals themselves.

It'd just free up some inventory space.

Remove the cap completely.

There is no cap on Tel Var. No cap on how many enchant glyphs you can have. Perhaps this had a purpose at the beginning to stem the flow of retraited gear but that purpose is long ended. Time to remove the cap.

That's the main thing for me, Waff. It's starting to clog my inventory on several character. lol I'm like, "So, I'll just transmute these Barkskin legs, that I'll almost certainly never use again, so I can empty a bunch of geodes." Edited because this keyboard is almost totally broken.

The restriction was asinine to begin with. It almost disincentivizes the participation in certain activities, namely pvp because likely you'll receive several, high-yield geodes that you both don't have anything to use on, but also find too valuable to delete. Therefore they sit in your inventory or mail until you eventually need them. It's the definition of clunky design.

Edit: How wishful I was, thinking you could at least store them in a bank.

I think the idea is when they come out with new sets that we have to be active overall to change the trait. If that is the case we are hitting our heads against the wall.

ZOS designed the "100" Transmute Crystal Cap so people would not hoard them and could not re-trait items frequently. But it simply does not work. And it never will.
After a day of PvP in Cyrodiil I have like 5 - 10 uncracked transmutation geodes. And - when the campaign ends I get like 1 or 2 Transmutation Geode that guaranties 50 transmutation crystals.
The whole Idea of capped curency is ridiculous in general. What ZOS should do is either to remove the cap or just convert it to crafting material (so you could keep 200 "stacks").

What's wrong with allowing those 800 crystals to sit in your transmute crystal stack instead of your inventory? I don't understand how you can say no to something that has no downsides, but all of the upsides.

I don't even know what you mean by this statement. LOL Most of us don't want to spend a lot of game time transmuting items that don't need it simply to clear space in our backpacks. Besides, raising or removing the cap altogether can't possibly hurt anything. As someone else pointed out, you can already have a limitless stack of Tel Var, Lorkhan's Tears, etc. This needs to be done with transmute crystals.

I can't ever seem to have more than 50 at a time, but there really is no reason for there to be a cap in the first place.

Cap needs to be removed, or brought up to at least 1,000 for non-subscribers (2,000 for eso+ members). I have a mule with 100+ geodes on it, and pretty much every character I play pvp with has over 10 geodes on it. I can easily transmute whole sets of gear every patch, the cap is only causing an inventory management crisis instead of preventing the stacking of gems.

Get up to 25K AP in an 30 day campaign and you get an 50 crystal geode at end of month, that addition to the ones you get from the reward for the worthy.
Do this on multiple adds and you are overflowing.
And yes this in it self make the cap pointless.

Pong is more fun and more complicated than eso storage mule and that's the end result of the cap.
